Every human on the planet aspires to be his or her best, yet most will fail. One way or another, the distractions in the world today have brought mankind to an age in which salvation may be precisely what is needed. Undoubtedly, the strongest force on the planet needs saving from itself. Salvation in religion has always been fascinating to me. I was prompted to accept salvation through the church at a young age. My only question was why? From what did I need saving? Salvation is the idea that, through a religion, one can achieve amnesty for their wrong-doings, and in exchange, receive a greater reward. Another part of salvation is remaining devoted to whatever belief one has chosen. Salvation for many religions is a rigorous process …show more content…
Christians believe if you repent your sins to Jesus Christ and believe in him, then you will achieve salvation and be allowed to enter Heaven. Similarly, Islam is a religion in which you must believe and devote your life to God by rituals and mindfulness of Muslim teachings. Judaism is similar in this respect; to achieve salvation as a Jew you must study the Torah and other Hebrew teachings, as well as honor other religious and cultural rituals, such as circumcision, Bar Mitzvah, respecting the Sabbath, and eating kosher foods. Unlike the other world religions, Sikhism focuses on love and acceptance of all peoples, no matter their culture or religion; it is a very pious religion with simplicity and equality in mind. The way of salvation for the Sikhs is to live a simple life of love and goodwill, to grow closer to the One God and understand him more. Hinduism, Jainism and Buddhism all include building karma to be reincarnated, and eventually breaking free of samsara, to reach eternal bliss beyond this world. The most interesting religion would have to be Zoroastrianism which, although claimed to be a root for other religions, seems to borrow from every religion to achieve salvation. Zoroastrians believe in one god, but also have other deities which, coupled with mysticism and elemental rituals, seems slightly faux. The founder taught salvation through the phrase “Good thoughts, good words, good
As ancient Rome began to fall, Christianity began rising. Around 2,000 years ago, Jesus of Nazareth was born, later to be known as the Messiah or Son of God. When people of the Roman era began to hear of such a powerful being, they began to convert to Christianity. Why did Christianity take hold on the ancient world; Christianity took hold on the ancient world because it offered immortality, equality, and it was spread like wildfire.

Christianity and Sikhism are two completely different religions with their own set of beliefs, though when looked at closer, share many similarities. Catholics and Sikhs only believe in one god, have creators who at birth were told they would do great things, had events at the age of 30 that put the ideas of their religions in motion, and both had followings who eventually took over and made the religions what they are today. Even though these religions have a large gap in time between them of when they were founded, they both share a common founding and similar beliefs.
Engagement with others is the most fertile ground for spiritual growth. Yet, salvation cannot come through individual questing nor good works in the community of the world alone. Salvation can only come when the journey and the work become

In Sikhism, the Five K’s are symbols of faith and are required to be worn. Hindus have traditional clothing as well, but they are not required to be worn. Some Hindu people, outside of India, wear the same clothing as the people in whatever region they are in. Besides clothing, Sikhs and Hindus differ in other ways as well. For example, Sikhism is strictly a monotheistic religion. They believe in and worship one god. Sikhs denounce the worship of any other gods or idols. Hindus believe in and worship several different gods. Hindus also believe in a type of Holy Trinity, which is similar to the Christian belief that God is divided into three

Matthew, one of the original twelve disciples, answered this question clearly. Yes, on “that day”, many will stand before God and hear Him say, “I know you not; depart from me.” (Matthew 7:23 KJV)

As previously stated in this document, the purpose of this Thesis is threefold. In these final conclusions reflecting over the discoveries of this Thesis, and research; let us review the main tri-purpose of this paper.
