The Salton Sea, California’s second largest lake, a terminal salt water inland lake located within California’s Riverside and Imperial counties. The Salton Sea was noted for its fast salt water boat races, fishery, camping, and migratory bird watching opportunities. (Salton Sea State Recreation Area 2016 and USBR 2007).
