1. I chose good beginning certificate because the program includes the preschool nutrition, feeding preschooler, healthy eating, and healthy bodies.
I learned how to feed healthy food to preschoolers, how they can make healthy bodies, nutrition related issues, menu planning and evaluation for positive mealtime and nutrition education.
From this exercise, I learned much about the importance of washing the hands in the daycare. I applied in the class room by telling the children to wash their hands properly. 2. I chose this Activity write up because it has very supportive idea to teach the children. I wrote this activity plan to teach math activity while they were playing.
From this activity write up, I used my knowledge in the daycare. While children were making two towers of different sizes, I stayed with them and discussed about which is bigger and which is smaller. As a result, they learned about the shape and size by looking at the two different towers.
I also learned safe, healthy and supportive environments are very important for a child’s cognitive development. Safe and supportive school environments are related to improve education and health outcomes for all students. Promoting and providing safe and supportive learning environment is an essential function of schools and the educators. Therefore, safe and supportive school environments are important to support children’s learning environment.
This artifact clearly relates with CECE standards of practice and ELECTS Principles because it shows supportive learning environment.

It is my strong belief that each child is entitled to a safe, secure, stimulating and caring learning environment. I always believed that each child is a unique individual with much curiosity and many academic, social and emotional needs. Children need our support in order to mature emotionally, intellectually, physically, and socially. As a teacher, one should aim to help students in fulfilling their dreams to become successful and educated individuals. We must provide them with a safe learning environment for their learning to succeed.
For many students a positive academic environment is increasingly harder to obtain. This is mainly due to their lack of safety. Whether it be inside the classroom or out.
The space and area in which a child is learning must be accommodating to all of their needs. A responsive environment is a space of any size that is set up and presented in a manner that promotes social-emotional development, physical development, spiritual development, intellectual/cognitive and language/literacy skills. It is important that the class or room promotes a healthy learning environment which allows the children to be independent while still pushing their skills and abilities. Environments are able to shape and direct a child’s learning experience, “We now know that the environment is a valuable teacher if it is amiable, comfortable, pleasing, organized, clean, inviting and engaging…This is true of floor space, ceiling, and wall space” (Krentz, Emerita, & University of Regina, 2013, p.44).
I believe every student is entitled to a safe learning environment where they can reach their full potential academically and behaviorally. Students will reach their full potential in a positive learning environment. The positive learning environment will be established from the beginning of the year providing a lasting impact on the students academic, and behavior performance throughout the entire year. The positive learning environment will be a classroom setting, which allows students to feel welcomed, safe, and important on daily basis allowing learning to occur to its fullest potential. To ensure my students are in a positive learning environment there must be a behavior management plan clearly explaining the expectations I have for my students. Throughout my behavior management plan I will explain how I plan to implement expectations so students act accordingly. My behavior management plan will be individually tailored to my students allowing me to push them to their fullest potential to by taking into consideration each student’s behavior and personal needs.

In this essay I will reflect upon the inclusive learning environment, i intend on reflecting this by researching, reading, extending my own knowledge and a recent exemplar visit. The main issues i have chosen to cover throughout this essay are inclusion, children’s learning and the environment. Issues i will also cover are Special Educational Needs (SEN), Every Child Matters (EMC), Diversity and legislations.
