Many people in the United States are unaware of arranged marriages because it is more common in foreign areas such as India and not here in the U.S. An arranged marriage is a marriage planned and agreed to by the parents or guardians of the bride and groom, who do not have a choice to choose who their husband or wife will be. Arranged marriages are against humanity. These arrangements do not take the bride and groom into consideration and basically force these two people to live together, no matter their feelings for one another.
When marriages are arranged by parents or guardians, they do not let them [bride and groom] set a mind of their own and think who they want to marry one day; they do not even know when or at what age they are going to get married (House). Instead of allowing children or young adults to find the person they strongly have feelings for, their elders decide who they are going to marry. These families decide what future their children will have, and who they will share it with all without consulting them or even asking them for their input.

The parents of the arranged marriages need to realize that they are not making their children happy by choosing who they are going to marry. Instead, they need to take the initiative, and do the right thing from now on, if they want to see their child happy and be well taken care, then the children will know who will be the one that is going to do that once they start growing up, and they will their partner themselves. That is how parents will really make their children happy by allowing them to choose their true love and not by being forced to love someone they do not want to be
