Rob Fraboni was born in california into an italian family. They had some already accomplished musicians in the family. So at the age of twelve he started to play drums in a local band. Then just three years later at the a of fifteen he hitchhiked to hollywood where he would begin his road to stardom. At this point in Rob's life he was young but already had a lot of experience in the recording studio with the local band he was in so he set out to fulfill his dream to work in the big studios with the big acts and representatives of the trade. The first place he goes to is gold star studios. where he would sneak in the back door to watch the professionals at work also he got to sit in and learn from one of the industry's biggest producer Phil Spector. This was his first time he had a charting record. He went on to then work for two weeks on friends Jimmy Miller's final full Rolling Stones album, Goats Head Soup a sign of things to come, as Fraboni would eventually get to produce Keith Richards' material on Bridges to Babylon and in 2001 win his first Grammy for his production of the track "You Win Again," performed by Richards for the Hank Williams tribute record Timeless. From the Rolling stones Goats Head Soup to the wave of Planet Waves he then began to work for at Asylum records. Then the debut of Bob Dylan with the Band formed another key relationship that would help him get more recognition. Between Dylan and the Stones, as a engineer had gained the respect of two of the biggest names in rock & roll, these are names which found Fraboni's personality. Bob Dylan then invited him to be the sound consultant for the Dylan/Band Tour 1974.Rob subsequent recordings were with Joe Cocker, Eric Clapton, Wayne Shorter, Milton Nascimento, and Blondie
