Mr. Rick Sanchez is a tall, thin 70 year old male of Hispanic descent with gray hair. He wears a white lab coat over a blue T-shirt and brown pants. He also often comes to sessions with green spittle on his mouth, presumably due to the fact that he has been drinking or recently vomited. He speaks in a rambling, stammering pattern that is often interrupted by belching. He has a daughter, Beth, from his failed marriage. He also has two grandchildren, Morty and Summer, as well as a brief relationship with his great-grandson, Morty Jr., from his grandson’s relationship with a Gazorpian sex robot as well as his son-in-law, Jerry. Family appears to be a difficult subject for Mr. Sanchez to discuss. It appears he cares for them very much but is hesitant in expressing it and has never been able to …show more content…
Though Morty often frustrates him, Mr. Sanchez seems to get very upset at the idea of not being able to have adventures with Morty. He repeatedly attempts to help Morty escape from his other obligations to free up more time, in order to have him continue to be his assistant, such as pulling him out of school, manipulating the dream of Morty’s math teacher, Mr. Goldenfold, to give Morty an A grade in math, and recurringly pulling him out of school. When asked what purpose such an intelligent being could have of a less intelligent one Mr. Sanchez explained that Ricks need Mortys due to a very distinct genius brainwave pattern emitted by Ricks, making them easy to track by various enemies as well as other Ricks. To camouflage the brainwaves Ricks stand near their Morty which has "complementary" brainwaves. Despite this, Rick recounts doing activities with Morty for reasons beyond needing camouflage, such as watching interdimensional cable with him, taking him to an alien pawn

His early education in a RomanCatholic monastery influenced his simple mode of dress and helped earn him the nickname Bishop of Broadway. He had some experience as a child actor, and from 1873 to 1879 worked in a number of San Fransisco theaters as everything from call boy and script copier to actor, stage manager, and playwright. He paid further theatrical dues in the time he spent as a "theatrical vagabond" (Belasco's term), acting in small theatrical companies trouping through the mining camps and frontier settlements of the Pacific Slope. He recited poetry, sang, danced, painted and built scenery, and played everything from Hamlet to Fagin in Oliver Twist and Topsy in Uncle Tom's Cabin. In 1879, with James A. Confucius once said, “The strength of a nation derives from the integrity of the home.” Many people across the world deem family as the most important aspect of their life. Family is something that often teaches us moral values and helps shape the individuals we become later in our lives. The values taught by family are not only essential, but will help develop the moral character of an individual. In the short story, “Cakes,” Salvatore La Puma conveys the prominence of family values in Italian-American immigrant culture in the 1940’s industrial era.
"It mattered that education was changing me. It never ceased to matter. My brother and sisters would giggle at our mother’s mispronounced words. They’d correct her gently. My mother laughed girlishly one night, trying not to pronounce sheep as ship. From a distance I listened sullenly. From that distance, pretending not to notice on another occasion, I saw my father looking at the title pages of my library books. That was the scene on my mind when I walked home with a fourth-grade companion and heard him say that his parents read to him every night. (A strange sounding book-Winnie the Pooh.) Immediately, I wanted to know, what is it like?" My companion, however, thought I wanted to know about the plot of the book. Another day, my mother surprised me by asking for a "nice" book to read. "Something not too hard you think I might like." Carefully I chose one, Willa Cather’s My ‘Antonia. But when, several weeks later, I happened to see it next to her bed unread except for the first few pages, I was furious and suddenly wanted to cry. I grabbed up the book and took it back to my room and placed it in its place, alphabetically on my shelf." (p.626-627)
Ramirez was born in 1960 to his Mexican immigrant parents Julian and Mercedes Ramirez. He was the youngest out of his five siblings of 3 boys and 2 girls. He grew up in El Paso, Texas, where he had a relatively normal childhood to start off with. Even though Ramirez seemed to be on a down hill spiral, his father always maintained that Ramirez was a "good boy". At the age of 12 he started to spend a lot of time with his cousin Mike, a Vietnam veteran, his cousin would show him pictures of women he had raped and tortured during his time in Vietnam. Mike would sometime take Ramirez out to the desert at night to show him how to sneak up on animals and kill them. Ramirez was taught how to use a knife and where the vital spots were on the animals. Some believe that the turning point in Ramirez's life may have been when he witnessed his cousin murder his wife. At the time Ramirez was 13 and was smoking pot with his cousin Mike when his wife came in and allegedly started to "nag" him on getting his life together and getting a job. Mike then took out a gun and shot her in the face. The blood of Mikes wife spattered onto Ramirez. After Mikes conviction Ramirez became fascinated with the photos that Mike had showed him. From being a bright young stude...

Tex Rickard: the story of his life. The man who was known as Tex Rickard, was born on Jan 2, 1870 with the byname of George Lewis Rickard. He led a life of different jobs, I guess you could say he was a jack of all trades. His life, or the part of it that dealt with the gold rush, was what I would say as, short lived. After raising cattle in Texas, and ruling a little town as the town marshal he decided to move on to something different.

The poem which my group selects is “A Time” by Fred Yamashita. At the beginning, everyone in the group is searching a poem on the internet. Everyone was looking up a poem and shared with each other. Finally, my group found a poem called “A Time” by Fred Yamashita. Our group decided to choose this poem because it is related to an important Japanese American history—internment camp, and it may be a good idea to introduce a poem with this kind of history background.

Anderson’s film (2004) tells us that the “client’s” name is Trevor Reznik. He is an unmarried white male, and although unspecified, he appears to be approximately 30-35 years of age. There is no indication of any siblings, no information regarding his father, and while there is evidence of a normal relationship with his mother, she is now deceased (Anderson, 2004). Additionally, Anderson (2004) informs the audience that the client appears to be of average intelligence and was employed as a skilled laborer in a machine shop. He lives alone, and had an ongoing romantic relationship with a prostitute, until an argument resulted in its termination (Anderson, 2004). There does not appear to be any alcohol or substance abuse in the client’s life, he has no real friendships, and relationships with coworkers have become strained over the previous year (Anderson, 2004). An altercation with his employer has resulted in the loss of his job, and the client has also suffered tremendous weight loss over the previous year, in addition to suffering from severe insomnia (Anderson, 2004). One year ago, the client was the driver involved in a hit and run automobile accident, during which a child was killed (Ander...
Basing a story on true events and characters on real people can make a story seem authentic. Using real people and events, Hemingway is better able to create strong characters and a realistic story because they exemplify the time period and people of the Lost Generation. Hemingway makes the story seem realistic by using real life characters to give the story an authentic atmosphere. Ernest Hemingway models Pedro Romero on a real person to show that he is truly graceful in the bullfighting ring (“Toreo”: The Moral Axis of “The Sun Also Rises”).
