For my book report, I will be doing a book called “The Clockwork Three” by Matthew J. Kirby. It was first published in 2010. This story occurs in the early twentieth century in New York City. The main characters are Giuseppe, Hannah, and Frederick. Giuseppe is an eleven-year-old boy who parents had died and he was soon was kidnapped. He was taken away from his family in Italy to New York City when that happened. Hannah is a twelve-year-old girl who loved school, but had to quit and become a maid because she had to earn money for her family since her father, who used to earn money for the family, but got very sick. Frederick is a thirteen-year-old apprentice clockmaker who was taken to an orphanage when he was young because his father died at sea during a war and his mother was really sick and had to go to the hospital where she died. He was trying to build an automaton. There are ten lesser main characters. First is Stephano, a man who kidnapped and bought kid so he could make them go on the streets and play instruments to make him money. Giuseppe is an example of a person that Stephano bought and he made Giuseppe go on the streets and play a violin. Next is Master Branch, a clockmaker who adopted Frederick and tries his best to help him. Then is Hannah’s father, a skilled stones man, but had to stop because he had a bad infection is his leg called apoplexy and it was poisoning the blooding in his leg and he almost had his leg cut off. After that is Alice, Hannah’s friend who gave Hannah medicine for her father’s leg so it could heal. Next is Madame Pomeroy, a woman who hired Hannah as her personal maid and a person Hannah looks up to. Then is Yakov, a man who used to be a soldier, but stopped and now he is Madame Pomeroy’s bodyg...

...pe, Hannah, and Fredrick go against Stephano and his servants. It shows betrayal because Walter betrays Hannah and almost gets her arrested.
This story caused a lot of emotions in me. I felt sad about how Giuseppe is kidnapped and taken away from his family. I also felt unhappy about how Hannah has to quit the things she loves because she had to work to get money for the family. I felt depressed how both of Fredrick’s parents died when he was young. After Stephano got shot I was really cheerful. When everyone solved each others problems, I felt happy for them. Finally characters in the story seem believable. I could relate to them because care about my family a lot. I especially like Yakov because he got to kill the bad guy. I would recommend this book to students that like books that have struggle, friendship, and care. It was one of the best books I have ever read
It was very nice to read something that had a lot of drama and suspense. This story has a mix of everything. It has a bit of suspense, drama, and comedy; therefore, it led it to be a very nice play. The people that would most like this play, has to be people who like suspense, drama, and thriller. These people would like it, because this story has a mix of everything, so the people who like to have a mix in their stories, they will love this story. It will suit them, and will give them a pleasure of reading a nice
I would recommend this book to people who love realistic stories. Personally for me it is hard to find books that interest me and this one felt like if I was watching someone else's life while I read it. It has so many interesting points. When you think something might happen
My overall opinion of this book is good I really liked it and recommend it to anyone. It is a good book to read and it keep you interested throughout the whole book.
... love and happiness of one’s family. Walter changes from being self-centered to self-less. He gives up his dream of having a liquor store when Willy Harris runs away with the money. Walter does that so the Younger family can fill their lives with joy and do not have to struggle anymore. This is the biggest sacrifice that Walter makes for the family. This theme also applies to everyday life. Many people sacrifice their wishes and dreams that they have, so they could help their family through tough times and always keep a smile on their faces. Love, sacrifice, and happiness is a part of everyday life.
have chosen it for my report. Finally, I will give my reactions to the novel
Story Time, by Edward Bloor, Harcourt: United States of America, 2001. 424 pages. Reviewed by Mar Vincent Agbay
This was quite an interesting story. There were three sections to the story which broke the story in three different times in one day. The characters were all very nonchalant except for the priest who showed some emotion when he found out that old Teofilo died. The story kept our interest, however, it did not lead a very clear trail to the end, and there was no real climax where we felt there was a good peak. The story needs to be read more than once to really be appreciated.
These kids grow up in the ghetto without a choice of moving somewhere else because of their parents low income, they live in a tough neighborhood and environment & reading this really touches you in many ways. Nobody will ever want to go through something like they did, Parts of the book tell you so much detail that it really puts an image through your head. The book entries mostly talk about the lives of the characters outside of school, The characters also describe the action of their diaries well and they present that action well in the movie.

This is an odd little book, but a very important one nonetheless. The story it tells is something like an extended parablethe style is plain, the characters are nearly stick figures, the story itself is contrived. And yet ... and yet, the story is powerful, distressing, even heartbreaking because the historical trend it describes is powerful, distressing, even heartbreaking.

...age by Melanie Luken” is influence me in many ways. Author had organized her thoughts logically. Each paragraph has author’s experience and happens in the right time plot; it tights back to thesis of the story. In fact, I am learning to incorporate this type of narrative into my writing as well.
Overall, this was a great book because I finished it in two days. It was filled with suspense, action, valuable themes, and it made me feel a wide variety of emotions. The book explored the value of family, the corruption of government, and the fundamental question of “Should one follow the order if it’s immoral to one?”
