When it comes to influential women in the 21st century, nobody deserves the title of most influential than Malala Yousafzai. Malala has made huge achievements in female empowerment, and will be doing so for a while, considering the fact that she is only 20 years old. She has caused sweeping reform and brought awareness to her home of Pakistan, and is taking her influence with her everywhere from the UN to Africa. Malala Yousafzai is one of the most unique and powerful women in the 21st century due to her hands on activism and bravery.Malala was born in Mingora, Swat Valley, Pakistan, on July 12, 1997. She was the daughter of social activist and educator Ziauddin Yousafzai, and was an excellent student. She attended Khushal Girls High School and College in Mingora, where her father also taught. The Swat Valley was invaded by the Taliban, led by Maulana Fazlullah. The Taliban imposed strict Sharia Law, which prohibited females from education, among other things. Malala was forced to move from Mingora several times while the Taliban clashed with the Pakistani army. Malala made several television appearances and openly spoke out against the Taliban. The Taliban targeted her, and successfully shot her in the head. They did not kill her, however. After her attempted murder, Malala recovered and continued her backlash against the Taliban, but with greater conviction.
Stories were being told, except we weren’t sure if they were true. Rumours were spreading about how the Taliban treated people, but time went by and nothing changed. When the world started to fall silent, Malala Yousafzai, with all her courage and strength, spoke up. She has suffered for doing that, but she doesn’t regret it. Every word she says is expressed with concern. She knows that even her small voice, can and has, changed the world. Malala Yousafzai is a young activist from Swat Valley, Pakistan. In my opinion she is one of the most influential people living and that’s why I’m going to talk about her struggle, her accomplishments and what she wants and will try to change until the day she dies.
“I am excited that today I have achieved my dream of going back to school. I want all girls to have this basic opportunity.” Malala Yousafzai said. Malala yousafzai is a teen activist just like Alex Lin and Alex Libby. Teen Activism is when a teen decides to change something in the world, and they stand up for their opinion. What is a hero? Christopher Reeve defines a hero as "an individual who finds the strength to preserve and endure in spite of overwhelming obstacles" (Daily Qoutes, 1). If this is the definition of a hero, then Malala Yousafzai is one of the youngest female heroes of the current generation. While most teenagers are watching "Pretty Little Liars" or taking their first driving lesson, one young adult by the name of Malala Yousafzai defies the Taliban through her advocacy of women's right to an education. The Taliban, a group notorious for their harsh treatment of women and support of terrorism, is put to the test and threatened by a seventeen year old girl. Arguably, it is not Malala's survival story that makes her strong, but Malala became invincible
“I dream of a country where education would prevail” (Malala Yousafzai). Education around the world has begun to be overlooked more and more each year; women’s education especially. Fighting to learn is one of the many problems women face each day, additionally it does not help when the opportunity to be educated is not given to over 6 million teenage girls alone. The women that are confident enough to stand up and fight for schooling are usually respected. Being one of the very few people in Pakistan who fought for better teachings, Malala is now well respected in many countries. Malala Yousafzai, the teenage girl who was shot by the Taliban, the youngest person to be awarded a Nobel Peace Prize, a girl brave enough to speak up against the Taliban, a girl who wanted a change for women’s equality and education, and a young girl who was once an average teenage girl. Malala has had many influences in life but the two most important ones are Ziauddin Yousafzai, her father, and the Taliban in Swat Valley. Her father has shown her such great love since birth and has allowed her to have a voice. At the same time, the Taliban has inspired her to speak out and strive for change. These two influences have motivated Malala as she has become an activist and a voice for change.
Malala Yousafzai, was once another ordinary girl struggling in her hometown Swat in Pakistan. Now she is a renowned author for her book I Am Malala, where she speaks about all the imbalances and injustices that occur in Pakistan. Her life was threatened by the Taliban when she fought for her cause: gaining the right for women's education in her country. The Taliban had banned education for women, yet Malala risked her life to accomplish her goal. Throughout her book she uses an inspirational tone, empowering diction, and vivid imagery to truly expose the Taliban for the corrupt educational system they have set for women in Pakistan.
Malala is a teen activist who speaks out for girls right of education, when Malala was just 12 years old her school was shut down ever since then she has been speaking out and raising awareness for young girls education. Malala Yousafzai is a teenager who stood up for girls’ education. Her country, Pakistan, was taken over by a group of terrorists called the Taliban. The Taliban had bombed over 100 schools, and closed down even more. The government didn’t do anything, but Malala started to stand up to the Taliban at a young age. I chose Malala as my topic because she spoke out for what she thought was right, even though she suffered for it.

Malala Yousafzai, the fifteen year old girl shot in the face for speaking out. Her story begins just like any other girl in her hometown, Swat Valley, Pakistan; an area where women struggle to keep their basic rights. One of those rights being the right to education, which then grew to be the main influence in Malala’s advocacy and eventual worldwide campaign for women’s schooling. This happened to be against the edicts of the political group, the Taliban, an extremist islamic party in Pakistan responsible for a civil war and downgrading the roles of women, who used Malala’s movement as a rationale to shoot her. Malala’s courage and determination through all of this is what made her stand out between other girls in her small valley, and it

With school still open, Malala and her parents still wanted her to go to school.
Malala Yousafzai is a hero to me. She was born on July 12, 1997 in Mingora, Pakistan in the Swat Valley. In Pakistan, when a girl is born, it is usually not a time to celebrate. Girls had little rights and no future other than to become a wife. Despite this, her parents celebrated her birth.
Malala Yousafzai, an advocate for education, said in her United Nations speech, “One child, one teacher, one book, one pen can change the world” (Yousafzai 1). Malala Yousafzai is a promoter of education, especially for those around the world who do not have access to it. Education has been the aim of worldwide assaults in 31 countries due to various reasons. 152-targeted bombings of schools have occurred in Pakistan, while 35 schools in Afghanistan were burned. Also in Afghanistan, 66 educational staff were murdered, kidnapped, and terrorized (Winthrop 2). Malala Yousefzai has done a number of incredible things in order to change the world for her better, and follow her dreams.
