It is bisected by the Garonne River. In France, Toulouse is the fourth biggest city. The treaty of Paris was signed in 1229, the same year that it became a city. It was signed by Raymond VII of Toulouse and Louis XIV of France. Toulouse was a very old city, but now its capitol is updated and very modern. France is considered a beautifully romantic country that is a hotspot for tourists from all around the world. Its capital is Paris, also known as the City of Lights—home to the celebrated Eiffel Tower and Louvre Museum. The currency is the European euro and the population is around 65,500,000. Along with that cultural presentation of the country, France is the 5th largest world power; it is also the head agricultural producer in the European Union. Along with all of this, France has a strong national identity that can be drawn from such political sectors as state, nation, government, elections, political culture, and current events.
Covering such a vast area and population dispersion, France is home to several different religions. The majority of people in France practice mainly Roman Catholicism. Protestant, Jewish, and Muslim religions fall into the minority with around ten to fourteen percent of the entire population practicing these religions. Each religion has its own set of rules, beliefs, and bylaws with only a few overlapping ideas, this is what causes a culture to be so diverse and ultimately making other cultures differ from one another.
Buildings like the Pont Neuf and Place Royale were the stepping stones of Paris becoming the Paris it is today. It changed the way people looked at Paris and France as a whole. It evolutionized structures around the world as many buildings would copy the foundations and ideas presented in the Pont Neuf and the Place Royale. Not many buildings in the world have made such an economic boost than the Place Royale did for the city of Paris. Besides the captivating design, the consistency of symmetry and color and texture of the Place Royale, it produced business and commercial to be easily accessible. It also made benefits such as providing residences for the Parisians. There weren't any disadvantages for the Parisians that stemmed from both the Pont Neuf and the Place Royale. One may suggest that these old buildings are not sustainable. That is wrong. In fact, thanks to the materials used to build the Pont Neuf and Place Royale (brick and stone), the two iconic monuments were able to stand the test of time and still contribute to be a big part of the Paris community. Tourism has a lot to do with the very large chunk services take up in France’s gross domestic product. People make their way to France for many different reasons. Some people come for the great food, wines, and pastries. Others come for the beautiful scenery of the French Riviera, Eiffel Tower, and fun festivals such as the gypsy festival which is known for its extravagant singing and dancing. Others come for art and entertainment which they can take in at any one of France’s many museums such as the Louvre. The Cannes Film Festival is another event that makes France an attractive destination for those who love the arts. The festival brings film stars together from all over the world to promote their new summer movies.

The city went through early developments as in the 14th century, Philippe Auguste, a great urban planner, established the walls that surround Paris and he also created the fortress of the Louvre.
Paris is known for having good baguettes and duck. Paris is also known for having many bakeries with croissants. I would prefer trying all of the foods in Paris that aren’t in America. Another thing I would like to experience is their culture. I want to be in Paris on July 14, Bastille Day, because it’s on the same date as my dad’s birthday and four days after my own.
