Reflection In Intercultural Learning

Our group was really diverse. Our group members consisted of myself from Japan, Angelos from Germany, Tetta from Finland, Arial from Hongkong, and Mckenna and Sara from U.S. Even though we all came from different cultures with different political system, educational system, and economies, I realized that there were things we all shared. We all enjoy playing and/or watching sports; we all enjoy listening to music; we all value our education; and we all love or have interest in traveling to other places. Some people in my group said it was interesting to see how we were all culturally different but we had similarities among us. Even though, I already knew two of the group members, Mckenna and Sara since they go to the same university as I do and because we used to be classmates, I was able to get to know more about and get close with the rest of the group members: Angelos, Tetta, and Arial. I thought that overall, the group as a whole, was able to get strong interpersonal relationship through this group project. The reason I think this is because on Tuesday, when we were opening up and talking about our government, we ended up sharing our own opinions on the government, which I really don't think would have happened if we were not close with each other and not have strong interpersonal
