Before I came into the school if education I was enrolled in the school of business still truly undecided on what I wanted to become. If I was asked about the themes and domains of a teacher I would have been confused and wouldn’t know what to say. Now that I have been involved with education courses I have learned many qualities that is takes to be an upcoming leading teacher.
Domain one is becoming a learning theorist. As I gain more knowledge about being a teacher and going through education courses, I have learned many strategies and techniques to address the needs of people of all ages. During my Meeting the Needs of ELL during my sophomore fall semester I learned how to create lesson plans that are modified for a student’s specific needs.

Becoming an expert you must know about what could possible effect your school or classroom. Taking social justice this semester I have learned about issues that can have an effect on you as a teacher. We learned about social justice issues that have stigma that comes with the certain issues. Throughout this class we have learned about different political and ethical view that as a teacher we must take. Our book for this course was called Holler If You Hear Me, this book contained stories that a teacher went through in his daily life with his students, environment, and economic stand of the school. Becoming an expert I believe that you need to be able to work with what is available to you. I believe that I would be able to incorporate in my teaching and professionalism the qualities that is takes to become an expert in school context.
The fourth domain is becoming a master practitioner. This is a domain where I am willing to put into as much time as I possibly can. Starting to learn more about the teacher profession I have learned that there is going to be time that I spend on my work then just at the school. A master practitioner in my eyes is someone that is able to create strategies that incorporate technology, reflective practices, and techniques that students would be able to benefit from in the future classes. In further classes

A leading teacher is someone who is an inspiring learner that is continuing their growth and improvement in their life. I think that this would go under passion to become a better person then you are today. As a teacher it is important to be able to have that continued passion to grow as a teacher and to learn more strategies and ideas for the classroom. Also to have that passion to have your students grow and become better educated. Diversity is also important to incorporate in the classroom through my ELL class we were taught the importance of diversity and culture in the classroom, so that every student feels welcomed and comforted in the classroom. I believe that it is important for students to learn about things that they don’t know about and what is important to know. Learning different cultures and customs are beneficial for academics and personal life. If students learn about other background they may become more accepting to students with different background. The more that you know and learn the more you are willing to be opening up to learn more and be less judgmental. Since technology is growing rapidly in the classroom it is crucial to keep up to date with the new devices that are being put into the classroom. As a teacher I want to make sure that my students will be prepared to use technology in the classroom along with future classes that they would take. The use of technology in the classroom could make
Professionally, I have stretched the limits of my own comfort zone, through embracing changes in curriculum and education and pursuing further learning opportunities. I am proud that although I have become a veteran teacher on my staff, I am the educational technology teacher. I trouble shoot various technological issues within our school and I have expan...
Becoming an educator for such an important career is not an easy task and requires a lot from those who are looking into pursuing it. It will take a lot of time and dedication to figure out what one specifically wants to do. It is a lot of pressure knowing that pursuing a career as an educator will put one
In a society where kids must go to school up to the collegiate level, teaching is an impactful career choice. Teachers help contour the minds of future leaders of the world. Furthermore, teachers play a crucial role in guiding students to the knowledge, skills, and abilities they need to succeed in life, and teachers lead students to make informed decisions on any topic the meet in the future. As a teacher, a person must relinquish their knowledge onto students. Finally, they must prepare their students for all the obstacles they will face later in life.

To begin out of the countless professions one has to chose from in the world today I have chosen to become a teacher. I have chosen to become a teacher because I myself am a product of some whom I consider to be the best teachers in the world. As a child in North Carolina I was inspired by a wonderful woman named Mrs. Hollyfield. Mrs. Hollyfield taught me that no star was too far out of reach, if I put my mind to accomplishing my goal I could make it. Mrs. Hollyfield inspired me to be the best I could be at anything I wanted to be. As I have grown I have had other important teachers, some whom I am surrounded by daily whom inspire me to set out to accomplish my dreams. These wonderful inspiring people in my life have led me to the decision of becoming a teacher.
Through my own experiences, and as enforced by others' opinions in the profession, I have found that teaching is one of the most rewarding careers. Not only are you placed in the position of instructing and guiding children and young adults through the life long learning process, but you are able to give back to the schools and communities which have supported your early education and experiences that opened you up to a bright future. In becoming an educator, I hope to someday share the knowledge and lend the helping, supportive hand that I was once given, allowing students to formulate their own perspectives of the multicultural society and world around them. Teaching is a career I have been interested in pursuing throughout high school, and as my experiences and study in the field expands, I feel that my desire to teach will grow stronger and develop more soundly.
As I reflect on my experiences observing in three different classrooms over the last three months, I cannot express how much I have learned by being in the classroom. I began the Master of Science in Education last fall and previous to the practicum experience I had taken 8 classes. I read books, listened to the experiences of my classmates and instructors, reflected on my own education, and tried to imagine how this information was going to prepare me to face a classroom of elementary school students. While I learned theories and skills that should be known by any educator, these classes could not teach me what I most desired to know: what tangible steps could I take to correctly implement all of the correct ways of teaching.
There have been many factors that have inspired me to this career choice. Watching my teachers, both past and present, has inspired me to become a teacher. I have a genuine interest in lifelong learning and as such I have the desire to not only instil knowledge and values to others, but also encourage them to share my passion for learning. Social Justice and leadership roles at school, along with my extra-curricular involvement with Cowra Youth Council, have highlighted my ability to work with and for the benefit of young people. In essence I know that my abilities and aspirations will make me a good teacher.
When I began this exploration, these two words: pedagogy and andragogy, my first thought was here I go again with learning about pedagogy. What in the world is andragogy? To much my surprise, I learned the history behind pedagogy; instead of, the theories that are supposed to work in the classroom. I never heard of andragogy until I started my research; when I started reading about pedagogy and andragogy, a thought entered my brain. The old question, “which came first, the chicken or the egg?” “Which came first pedagogy or andragogy?” Does a student begin to learn from someone else, (pedagogy) or does child begin learning when they are self-directed (andragogy)
Develop teaching expertise is the part of proposition from NBPTS, specifically knowing the subjects they teach and how to teach those subjects to students (1987). One of the methods is continue to pursue their professional development by joining a professional association or organization, attending a workshop, and reading a professional journal, website, or books. These ideas enhance teachers’ cognitive growth by enlarge information of the latest strategies or method, enhance cognitive growth, and learning to help the teachers to become expert in their teaching and influence on student learning.
The two philosophies that I have chosen to write about for my Education Philosophy Paper includes progressivism and existentialism. Progressivism focuses on the child rather than the subject matter. Due to society always changing, new ideas are important to make the future better than the past for students learning. This educational philosophy stresses that students should test ideas by active experimentation. Learning is rooted in the questions of learners that arise through experiencing the world. Progressivists believe that individuality, progress, and change are fundamental to one 's education. Existentialism is a highly subjective philosophy that stresses the importance of the individual and emotional commitment to living authentically. It emphasizes individual choice over
Education is man’s most valuable possession: it is the concept through which one’s love for learning stems, and the equipment used to pave an individual’s path to success. Although easily influenced by the opinions of others, education is one of the few concepts that neither internal nor external stress can strip from our being. The future of our society lies in the hands of our educators; the values and morals instilled by such figures govern the actions of the earth’s people.
Teaching is a daunting task that I do not intend to take lightly. Becoming a teacher has been a dream of mine for several years. I always knew that teaching would be the career for me, especially when I began working in the school system as a substitute secretary. I loved working in the school environment; coming in contact with children everyday made me realize how much I would enjoy teaching a classroom full of students.
Teaching has always been a dream of mine ever since I was a little girl. I have had multiple teachers who have impacted my life in many ways, but the one teacher who has inspired me to pursue a career in the education field as a teacher would be my math teacher that I have this year. She inspires me every day and is truly my role model. I look up to her on a daily basis, and I aspire to become a teacher because of her and how she has changed my life for the better have always appreciated the hard work that teachers do on a daily basis, and I always have appreciated the fact that they take time out of their day to teach their students valuable skills that the students may utilize in the future. I aspire to become a teacher in the future and hopefully make a difference in students’ lives. Teachers are more than just people who educate students, they are people who continue to make a difference in my life and teach me the value of hard work every day. I know that I really want to pursue a career in the education field as a teacher because I want to help people and share my love of learning with my future students. I also want to become a teacher because I would like to give back to the amazing teachers that I have this year and take what they have taught me and instill that in my future classroom. I realize that teaching is a lot of hard work, but I am willing to give one hundred percent effort on a daily basis so that students can receive a great education that they deserve.
