In regard to finding an experimental research study, a literature review will identify the specific information during the process of the experiment. With a specific research design, the hypothesis, strategies, statistical analysis, and result will help analyze the thoughts for the final research proposal.
According to a research study, a meta-analysis research method was used to treat students with ADHD. A meta-analysis is a research method that combines information from a number of qualitative and quantitative study data to draw one or more conclusion from the evidence given (Boslaugh, 2013). Boslaugh (2013) expressed how a meta-analysis can be used when studies have produced inconsistent or conflicting results. But, the meta-analysis is …show more content…

After exploring the seventeen studies, the dependent variable, sample size, pretest and posttest mean and standard deviation was provided in a table. To conduct the statistical analysis, the researchers used the continuous means from the meta-analysis data. Although, a different procedure was used to test the treatment results of the experimental and control groups and the effects of the sample size within each group (Mihandoost, 2015). In results, the study showed that there was a difference between the mean score in the experimental and control group. Based on the tables, the posttest means of the experimental groups were lower than the posttest means of the control group in the studies. It was concluded that the meta-analysis study showed that treatment programs reduced attention deficit and social skills in ADHD children, as stated in the hypotheis (Mihandoost, 2015). Throughout the procedure, several interventions were known to reduce the symptoms of the disorder. Based on the common treatments, 75% of children in the experimental group showed a greater reduction within those treatments strategies that children in the control group. Although, the cognitive-behavioral therapy, pharmacological treatment, and combinational treatment included higher levels of effectiveness (Mihandoost,
