Working in Public Health leader had and continue to be one of my lifelong dreams. Seeing myself as a leader was not part of the dream since my concept of leaderships was totally different from what I am now knowledgeable. My previous interpretation of leadership was someone who intelligent and has the ability to controls everything. For example, the decision making within the organization without seeking the opinion of others. Upon exploration of this module, I came across various definitions of leaders and managers. Therefore, I was able to differentiate between being a leader and being a manager.
In the context of leadership stated in (Lawton 2013) leader should be able to pose leadership qualities that will demonstrate a clear vision, assertiveness and honesty, in and out of crisis situations. …show more content…

According to Gray, 2009 being a good leader you would be able to shape cultures through the language that they use, he or she demonstrates great humility and personal charm. While being a manager is not about collaboration, it's more of a control process where errors are spotted and correction are made immediately through feedback.
