Protecting Canadian culture could truly be one of the motivations that resulted in u.s. Canadian magazine disputes probably because it was identified by Canadian government as an important Touchstone of Canadian national identity it Was said that in 1970 a special Canadian government committee on mass media concluded that magazines constitute the only national press they possess in Canada, however, there could also be a touch of politics being played out in this scenario. This is where the beauty of globalization comes to play, people should be given the rights to make a choice with whatever they want to do with their money if the local product is good enough with the same information and qualities you’re looking for the percentage of the sales will not be 11% I want to believe that it is the only logical thing to do if the local publications is to be preserved, the foreign magazine seems to have won the heart of the majority and the need for the local magazine is no longer desire and to keep the 11% alive the only Justified approach is to increase the cost of production of the foreign base by forcing the owners to pay more tax and probably give more incentives to the local produce magazine to reduce their own expense and overhead cost in order to give them a leverage in the

The familiar concept of "Canadian culture", and hence Canadian cinema, within critical terminology is essentially based on the principle that the ideology of a national identity, supposedly limited by such tangible parameters as lines on a map, emerges from a common geographical and mythological experience among its people. The concept that cultural products produced in Canada will be somehow innately "Canadian" in form and content first presupposes the existence of such things as inherently Canadian qualities that can be observed. Second, it presupposes a certain commonality to all Canadian artists and posits them as vessels through which these said "inherently Canadian qualities" can naturally flow. Third, it also assumes the loosely Lacanian principle that Canadian consumers of culture are predisposed to identify and enjoy the semiotic and mythological systems of their nation, and further connotes that Canadians have fair access to their own cultural products. Since these assumptions are indeed flawed but not altogether false, this paper will deal with the general relationship between the concept of Canada, its cultural texts, and its mythological and critical discourse as an unresolved problematic that should be left "open" in order to maximize the "meaning potential" of films as cultural texts within the context of "national identity," an ideological construct that remains constantly in flux.
