Keep vending machines in School

Many schools are voting to remove vending machines, and leave the kids hungry or thirsty between classes and after school. Removing the machines is only One fix to the problem. We need to look at other possible solution that could keep the machines in school, and keep snacks available to hungry children. they could very easily stock these machines with healthier options. There are many reasons why taking these machines out of schools would be a mistake. one reason it would be better to keep the machines in schools is because many kids are thirsty between classes and want sports drinks.According to Kids Health,”Many times kids are dehydrated when they’re playing hard and having fun.” They also state that,” Health vending intake sugary drinks dropped by 2.6% but …show more content…

They might argue that many kids are now overweight. My solution is very simple, stock the machines with healthier choices. School officials, and parents could ban together and decide what foods they want to stock in the machines. Machine owners would be forced to listen. There are also many companies such as, Healthy You Vending, that only stock healthy snacks.

Instead of getting rid of vending machines in schools, they could stock them with healthy options. Adults are in charge of what goes into the machines. Parents are for the most part giving kids the money to buy snacks, so they could have a say in what the kids are buying with that money. There are many foods that could be given instead of chips, and soda. There are many companies, ensuring that their snacks are healthy. Vending machines should not be removed from schools to ensure that kids have access to food at all times during or after
