Have you ever seen somebody finish eating a snack and then through the wrapper on the ground? I have. I asked that studenttold him if he couldan “please” pick it up, and he said I wasn’t the boss of him. This is an example of about why vending machines should not be allowed in schools. Vending machines are good for the school, but at the same time they are not good for the school because of what kids do to our planet.I think vending machines should not be allowed in schools because kids will litter, when they chew it’s distracting, and depending on how much they eat, they will go to the bathroom more also during class.
To start with,if vending machines are allowed the thing that will happen is littering because it’s a big action
happening around Earth and kids will litter and wrappers will be everywhere.Students around school will most likely litter than throwing the wrappers in the trash whether because they are not caring for the planet or they are just lazy.I think littering is wrong because if it flies somewhere, where animals are, they will think its food and eat it but then they will automatically start choking. This is a reason why vending machines should not be allowed in schools. In addition,If kids eat too much food from the vending machine, they would have to go to the bathroom more and during class too and waste time learning.Everyone will love to eat a lot because of how delicious the food from the vending machine is.During class, students might ask if they can go to the bathroom like maybe everyday, but then if they go almost everyday they won’t learn anything or whether students might not learn a lot and get the grades the want. This is another good reason why vending machines should not be allowed in schools. Although, chewing is disgusting and disturbing.First of all, nobody likes to see or hear chewing sounds and see somebody open they mouth while chewing. Also if somebody is chewing, they might chew with their mouth open and thats really disgusting. When someone chews it sounds like gross and sometimes it makes you sick. This is the last reason why vending machines should not be allowed in schools. These are the reasons why vending machines should not be allowed in schools. Its just a bad idea to add them.
Vending machines should be allowed is because it provides snacks , candy , and drinks . I think vending machines should be allowed in school is because if you are hungry you can go up and by one . Also if you didn’t have breakfast you could get something to eat from there. Last it could help the students in school .
Unhealthy foods are what make the money for schools and that is why they serve them for students. (Schlafy) Schools feel like they need the extra money in the budget, even though it is at the student’s expense. Data shows that nearly 60% of all middle schools in the US serve soda from vending machines. (Schlafy) Soda is very high in sugar and is not at all good for children, but it is still sold in school vending machines. The ways food in schools is now are way too high in fats and sugars. This is not good for the children and very bad in the long run. Elementary schoolchildren have an estimated $15 billion of their own money that they can use to buy whatever they want in schools, and parents have almost another $160 billion to give students for food money. (Schlafy) Big businesses see this as a big source of profit and therefore encourage children to buy their products, and want them to be offered in school because of th4e likelihood of children buying the business’s product. All in all, obesity in the US is greatly influenced by the foods offered in schools
Imagine: you’re chewing your fresh new piece of green mint bubble gum. But then your teacher tells everyone in the class they aren’t allowed to chew gum because one person is being too distracting with their gum. Everyone has probably had gum at least once in their life. So why shouldn’t students be allowed to chew gum in school? Kids should be allowed to chew gum in school because it helps kids focus and deal with stress.
Fidget Spinners are the new popular kids toy in homes across the nation. All of the kids want fidget spinners. Everyone is having fun spinning these for hours doing tricks and more. Unfortunately, fidget spinners can be terrible too. The toy was originally intended to help kids especially those with attention disorders focus, but it seems to do the opposite. They are disrupting class, and are injuring hundreds of other kids. Kids should not use fidget spinners because they are dangerous, distracting and they are being misused.
In “Hooked on ‘Caramel-Colored Gold,” Melody Nelson claims “Despite the increased awareness of the benefits of good nutrition, we are a nation hooked on junk food, and many school administrators are taking advantage of the situation ” (par. 3). Nelson propose a ban on vending machines in schools because junk food is unhealthy for children, and they risk future health problems. I agree with Melody Nelson and believe that vending machines should be banned from school campuses, because they sell unhealthy food, they cause more money to schools for hiring extra custodians, and they are affecting children learning abilities.
The vending machines which have mostly sodas and chips are also convenient for kids, but they are consuming tremendous amount of sugars that are so unhealthy for their diets. In high schools, their hormones are changing and when they eat or drink foods that are not healthy, their hormones respond to those, by making them hyper, unable to learn and to comprehend subjects better in schools.

With this ban our school will succeed. We will be recognized across the country as a role model. It is your decision, but if you want to help our school shine and succeed then you should ban all sugary snacks.
Gum chewing is banned in many schools. But should it be kept that way? Many are against the gum chewing not permitted in schools. But others say it should be kept that way. Have you ever heard of the gruesome Columbine High School massacre? This incident occurred on April 20th 1999 and involved two students embarking on a shooting rampage, killing twelve students, a teacher and wounding twenty three others. Unfortunately during this incident, the school's most easily accessible phone was on the other side of the school in the library. Perhaps some of these lives could have been saved if the students in this class had cell phones that they could've used to contact the authorities more quickly. The issue we are addressing today is the use of cellular devices in educational facilities. I believe that cell phone use is of extreme convenience, and has academically beneficial aspects, among it's so called "faults".
Do you like your electronic devices? Do you want to use it at school? Well, you have come to the right place. By electronics in school can mean you can use your phones, laptops, Ipods, and tablets in school. Not only these devices but more like a Playstation Portable(PSP) or a Dual Screen(DS). You would only use these devices for school work nothing else, but only after school. Have you ever been hungry during class well I have. Kids need to eat in the mornings or else their stomach’s will be upset. That’s why we need a vending machine. Vending machines should be allowed in school because we get hungry sometimes. Sometimes we don’t eat breakfast in the morning.
Teachers might want to think twice about posting no gum-chewing signs in the classroom, because kid’s minds may wander more. In my opinion when a teacher catches a student chewing gum they shouldn’t get so mad, maybe that’s how they can have a more interested
