High School sports are not beneficial because they have more cons than pros. There are reasons like the pressure from the parents is too much and that could lead to stress, also the equipment is based off college sports and are not as fit for younger bodies of the high school students. On the plus side they have shown to be good for education. People who play high school sports have high grades but that doesn’t mean that students who don’t play sports can’t have high grades also.
First of all high school sports are not beneficial because it puts too much stress on the kids because they want to make their parents happy and want to keep their grades up or if they don’t they could get cut from the team . If the price goes down on the equipment schools would probably buy a lot of the equipment so they don’t have to buy it so they have extra material for events if something breaks or gets ruined. I believe that in middle school, it is a necessity for kids to be involved in extracurricular sports to learn knew skills that they can apply on and off the field. Due to budget cuts, more and more schools have had to cut extracurricular sports. I know that I want sports to come back and so do many kids in middle school. There are some negative factors which lead to a debate. Including, are some negatives aspects about sixth graders having sports because they are newbie to middle school and they may need to adapt to the new environment around them, but shouldn’t they be prepared for the upcoming years? This is one of the reasons a lot of students do good in school. However, as it is a good thing it also has side effects. The side effects include kids having no contribution to sports and having no freedom to access technologies. Technologies include phones, computers, gaming consoles. However, not all kids have the desire to play sports, so this is not necessarily a side effect or a bad thing.
In the past years, high school athletes have been tested for performing enhance drugs. Many have tested positive and it has become a problem. In my opinion every high school athlete should be tested. It cause health problems in the future reference. Professional teams aren't going to accept them if do take performance enhancing drugs. They should be tested for the safety of themselves.
When applying to University there are multiple steps which lead to many frustrations and stress. Everyone from the top student to the student who is forced to apply, deals with these frustrations. In my experience, I threw things, abused my computer, and my eyes may have watered from the frustrations of course. Not only is the process hard, filling in every form, obtaining letter of recommendation, but the four years that you spent trying to come up with the information you are providing was hard.
It will encourage students to try their best to accomplish superior grades. It opens their eyes in a different perspective on behavior as well as stronger scholastic peer relationships. It gives students activities excluding school work, because teenagers generally focus their mind on unacceptable actions. Parents commonly show passion along with appreciation when their child/children play a sport. They get to have a closer relationship and be elaborate with them more often than normal. Frequently, students do not care about their reputation or acknowledge the adults’ opinions on themselves; but in my opinion, playing sports and being mostly involved with their schools presents an improved character while in school and once they graduate. I was once told that “Sports do not build character. They reveal it.” Additionally, self-esteem in high school is hard to come by, occasionally sports help! Sports cause you to interact with other people and uplift you to do better. It presents a sharpened perspective on your schoolwork, career, future, and life altogether. In some cases, playing a sport can benefit you in an enhanced form. Scholarships can be a broad opportunity for valuable players with a good education on their shoulders. As well as, college recruitment can be another option. Money is hard to come by for college and if that seems to be a struggle for a student playing a sport can help tremendously. That

Also, most of the positive things people would argue aren’t guaranteed to happen or isolate them from the negative effects. But when it comes to the negative side, a student would need to go through some of the stages, maybe not all, but for sure some. To sum it all up, high school sports are more negative on a student than positive, even though people tend to see only the positive things that can come from them.
