Making the transition from middle school to high school is a huge stepping stone in a teenager’s life. High school represents both the ending of a childhood and the beginning of adulthood. It’s a rite of passage and often many teens have the wrong impression when beginning this passage. Most began high school with learning the last thing on their mind. They come in looking for a story like adventure and have a false sense of reality created through fabricated movie plots acted out by fictional characters. In all actuality high school is nothing like you see in movies, television shows, or what you read about in magazines.
“They laugh at me because I’m different; I laugh at them because they’re all the same” Kurt Cobain once said. However, would it be a good choice to be different and accept going to college in an earlier age instead of attending to a normal high school? Of course this has been greatly disputed; due to the fact that many students have a hard time deciding which option is more convenient and would actually lead them to accomplish their goals. Even though there are many early college schools that would offer an Associate’s degree without having to pay anything, there is people that would prefer to pay their career by themselves and have a normal life as most high scholars do without having to worry that much. Of course that going earlier to college would be challenging but it can bring students better opportunities in life, and also help them mature more rapidly so they could be able to understand what life is in reality.
11. Relationships can wait. Statistics show that middle school relationship usually don't work out anyway, so why bother? It's fine to have crushes and maybe even fall in love, but don't rush into relationships and do anything crazy.
Students, in college, must choose a specific major to pursue a degree in; however, High School education has always deviated from that path, in favor of a more rigid general education structure. The notion of early specialization frightens some people, but allowing students to specialize would increase student engagement and promote the equalization of subjects like Music and Drama with Mathematics and the Sciences. Although specialization will be prioritized in the Super School, a proper High School education should instill students with fundamental knowledge, hence a student specializing in Computer Science would still have to take classes in English, but those classes would be more focused on report writing, than say creative essays. That being said, High School freshmen, aren’t necessarily going to be sure of what they want to pursue in later life, so it is incredibly important that they have a chance to switch tracks midway through their schooling.
In conclusion, homework is a waste of time. Time that can be better spent is with family and having fun participating in extracurricular activities. Eliminating homework allows students the reward of free time and the invaluable time spent with family. Homework creates unnecessary stress and strain for parents and students alike. Also, homework allows teachers to pawn off their own teaching responsibilities to students and parents with hours of homework. Homework is not beneficial and it should be banned for students Kindergarten thru 8th grade.
High school is meant to be the time of your life, but for most seniors just like me it can be some of the most emotional and crazy time. The things in my past make me who I am today, and the things I do now are the first footsteps into the future. I’ve learned a lot about myself in these past four years, and I still have so much learning to do. This is my high school story; the good, bad, and the ugly.

Payton played her whole school soccer game and felt exhausted on her way home. By the time she arrived at her house, she still had to finish her math, science, and social studies homework she was assigned. Payton rushed to finish all of this homework she was bombarded with, while not caring about how it turned out. She was shoving her dinner down her mouth as the sun started to set and it kept getting later in the night. She opened her math textbook and started studying for her math test tomorrow which determines the majority of her grade. Now, it was eleven o'clock and pitch dark outside. Payton is delighted when she sees her bed and falls fast asleep. It is now early in the morning, the bus comes in thirty minutes. Payton hears her mom
High school, along with college are two major stepping stones in a person’s life. Colleges all over the world are telling you to go to college, offer you a path of wealth and happiness, but is that path really what they say it is.

While some families may find home schooling as being very helpful and beneficial to their child’s education, others may find that it is crucial their child be sent to a normal school. Some parents are hesitant to send their children to public school because of crime and lack of discipline and also because they fear that the quality of education is declining. Parents may also feel that sending their child to school will aid in their social development. Home schooling has both advantages and disadvantages which aid parents in this difficult decision.
