Driverless cars may sound like a good idea to you for the future when you first hear about them, but when you look into it, they aren't as safe and useful as they seem to be. When it comes to driverless cars, they could easily be hacked, they will cost a fortune, and on top of that, they will cause many people to lose their jobs. That isn’t even all of the cons of driverless cars, but some of the most important ones. To begin, now a days, you hear about cars being hacked, for example, the 2014 Jeep Cherokee. Cars these days have so much technology involved in them that people are able to take control of the transmission in them. But imagine if the whole car was ran by technology, like these driverless cars people have been talking about. Not only will people be able to hack the transmission, but everything about the car, such as where it goes, when it stops, and a lot more things. …show more content…

But imagine the high end cars many people are buying now a days. Cars these days are already expensive enough, so when they come with all the technology, such as Wi-Fi, and all the other bells and whistles, they will most likely cost a lot more. Speaking of Wi-Fi in cars, why is it even needed? People shouldn’t be on their phones, especially the driver. Having Wi-Fi will just cause more people to go on their phones while driving, even if they are driverless. And they will be spending a lot of money just to make driverless cars which would be a waste because we can already make cars that won’t cost a lot since they won’t have the technology. Therefore, there is no point in making these new cars because only the rich and famous will be able to afford
