Everyone in this country has fantastic freedoms. Do you ever think about how lucky that makes us? Or if we lived in a different country we might not have any freedoms? Well, our country wasn't always like that. That's right, freedom hasn't always been around, and now it is. The question is, whether or not it needs to be regained with every generation. There are different opinions on which are the most important from different people. There are also different opinions about who should have certain freedoms and who shouldn't. Some people believe that once freedom is won, it can be taken for granted and doesn't need to be won again. I will admit that sometimes it is extremely hard for me not to. I get used to them being there and don't remember that they weren't always. When I think about all of the fighting that has occurred just so we could have the simple freedoms that not everyone does, I don't feel like they should be taken for granted. It just doesn't seem right. Countless people have died and are still dying just so we can go to school everyday. There are many people who think that just because they were born here that they shouldn't have to do anything, and they automatically deserve everything to be given to them. Some people don't think about the lives that were lost fighting for their basic freedoms. I think the people who fought for our country deserve all of the recognition and honor. I definitely do not like the fact that there are people out here that feel like the freedoms were always there. When exercising one of our basic freedoms, I doubt many people think about what went into them being able to do so. Like when you are going to school, do you ever think about that if the people of our country hadn't fought and won the wars they did you might not be able to do that. I can't imagine not being able to go to school because we aren't a free country. Every time I hear something on the news about parts of countries being controlled by terrorist, I like to stop and remind myself of how thankful I am that we have people fighting to keep us
