Darcy? Why does her opinion alter after this encounter?

We have seen through the books chorus that Elizabeth doesn't care

about wealth, she rather wants to marry for love then money (She

denies Darcy when he first proposed, and she sees Mr.Wickham as an

good man even though he cannot offer her wealth) but all that changes

for her and for us after the Pemberley visit. She sees this beautiful

mansion, she sees opportunity and freedom in Pemberley. The house

itself is reprehensive and even a symbol for Mr. Darcy, the writes

describes it as a "...It was a large, handsome stone building,

standing well on rising ground, and backed by a ridge of high woody

hills; and in front, a stream of some natural importance was swelled

into greater, but without any artificial appearance. Its banks were

neither formal nor falsely adorned. Elizabeth was delighted. .. and at

that moment she felt that to be mistress of Pemberley might be

something!" The inscription fits on Darcy, he too is tall, handsome

man, and that the house is "standing well on rising ground", reminds

me of Darcy's pride. And Elizabeth falls in love with the house, she

can see herself as the mistress of Pemberley "And of this place,

thought she, I might have been mistress", meaning that she approves

Mr. Darcy’s personality.

And the housekeeper of Pemberley speaks so well of Mr. Darcy, "But I

have always observed, that they who are good-natured when children,

are good-natured when they grow up,and he was always the

Jane Austen tried to resolve it by in the end have a happy ending,

Jane is married to Bingley and Elizabeth to Darcy. Somehow she wants

to say that there is no wrong in taking someone from a low class and

they can be as elegant as those that are born rich. By making Darcy

marry Elizabeth, Elizabeth which he thought to be classless from the

begging, and now is one of the most beloved person in his life changes

so much. And in the end Darcy says that Elizabeth made him to the

person he is today, Darcy starts to understand that the way he acted

was in a bad manner way and he starts to understand and respect

Elizabeth for telling him the truth. I think that Jane Austen shows

that if we look really well, class status is not such a big deal, that

in the end depend on how the person is.
