It is my pleasure to recommend Pricilla Merino for the admission for Washington Center. Currently I am teaching her General Chemistry I Lab course. This course is composed of serval parts- pre-lab and post-lab reports, final exam, and participation evaluations. So far her overall performance in my class is excellent (ranked 5th out of 19 students). This means that she not only understand the basic concepts of chemistry, but also performed every experiment very well in this course.
During this semester, I was able to perceive her positive attitudes for this course. Whenever I gave a talk about general concepts and important procedures to carrying out experiment, she has tried to understand and perform experiment delicately by asking questions.

It is a long-with-standing stereotype that Italians love to gamble. This is true. My great grandfather, Pasquale Giovannone, played the riskiest hand of cards when he immigrated to the United States as an illegal stowaway at the age of thirteen. He forged a life for himself amidst the ever-changing social and political shifts of the early nineteenth century. The legacy he left would later lead to the birth of my father, John Giovannone, in Northern New Jersey in 1962.
Cable shows qualities of an experimentalist teacher, she was also professional and had a positive attitude. Mrs. Cable shows qualities of an experimentalist teacher in a few different ways, she did hands-on activities with the kids and she develops rapport with her class. Mrs. Cable had the students play the matching game where they found two cards with the same amount of dots. This is a hands-on activity because the students are literally using their hands and participating in the activity (Farris 2014). Mrs. Cable also develops a rapport with the class because she has a relationship with every student (Farris 2014). For example, while the class was lining up for special Mrs. Cable had a conversation with one student about her new puppy (Farris 2014). In First Year Seminar, the class discussed the evaluation of professional and personal dispositions, these are the requirements a student at York College of Pennsylvania must meet to be accepted to student teach. These requirements include having a professional attitude, organization, personal enthusiasm, etc. (Hesson 2015). I believe these dispositions should not only be for student teaching, but for all teachers; I also believe Mrs. Cable met every one of these dispositions. Particularly, I found Mrs. Cable to be exceptionally professional, she wore professional attire that was modest for early elementary schools and she had a professional attitude. Mrs. Cable was

SelenaBy: Aidan DoodyTopic 2 - Discrimination, Prejudice, and IdentityDiscuss the difficulties that Selena and her family faced after moving to the United States. What instances of discrimination or prejudice did Abraham, Selena, or the family face? How did this affect their identity as individuals and as a family? Did this cause their identity to change over time? If so, how? What challenges can you see for other immigrants in regards to maintaining the culture while adapting to a new one? Selena and her family had been discriminated against other people. One instance of this is when Selena and her family and Selena's friends started a club,
Hola mi amo Selena Quintanilla. Hello, my name is Selena Quintanilla. I was the first woman latin singer in Tejano, Mexico, and I was shot and killed by the president of my fan club. I was born in Lake Jackson, Texas. I was the youngest child of Marcella & Abraham Quintanilla. In the year 1980 my father opened a Tex-Mex restaurant at which we, his children, performed as a band for customers. Our band was named Selena Y Los dinos, slang for Selena and the Boys. I started playing at the restaurant at age 8, in 1982. My father moved the family from Lake Jackson to Corpus Christi after the restaurant failed. We released our first single under Freddie Records in Corpus Christi. Our first song was “Tu Eres” in the year 1983. I won the female vocalist and performer of the year award at the

Selena Quintanilla also known as the “ Mexican Madonna”. She was one of the greatest women singers loved worldwide. She started singing when she was young and started her singing career in her father restaurants and became too busy for school. Some of the genres of songs she liked to sing were Tejano, Mexican cumbia, and Mariachi. Another thing was that when she got murdered it had a great impact towards everyone that loved her. A great singer usually starts singing when they are little, and that is what Selenas dad made her do since she had such a amazing voice.

The trial was in May 1911 and she was sentenced to hang. Shortly after, the story hit the newspapers. Angelina’s story started awareness of domestic violence.
Selena Quintanilla-Pérez was a joyful, jubilant, free-spirited Mexican-American singer-songwriter. She grew up in Lake Jackson, Texas and made enormous contributions to the second wave of Tejano music, or la onda chicana (Chicano wave). The only difference between Tejano and Chicano music is that Tejano is the Spanish word for Texan and Chicano refers to Mexicans in general. The Tejano genre of music can also be referred to simply as Tex-Mex music. “All Tejano groups rely upon 3 common genres for their repertoires - polca-ranchera, the balada, and the cumbia” (Peña 185). Selena’s music uses all three sub-genres, as we shall see later on. In the second half of her life, Selena moved to Corpus Christi, TX where she stayed until her death. “Corpus

But He never married Marina because he feared his illegitimate children would threaten his social standing. He died in Arcetri, Italy, on January 8, 1642.
believe, with her personality, she will flourish in a classroom setting. But, we should pull
She will go to great lengths to avoid having a monotonous lecture. To this end she uses a variety of learning activities throughout her presentation to keep students focused and on topic. Activities I've been able to witness include the use of Kahoot, matching review exercises, group competitions, short lab exercises, and the occasional video. Just prior to spring break she introduced lab exams to her students, which I'll have a chance to witness come Friday, in which students are up and about moving from station to station and answering questions while under a time crunch. She feels that such activities get students pumped and moving about while also preparing for the more rigorous time constraints often found in post-secondary science
The study that we tried to conduct is feasible with our field of education and also it
