Hola mi amo Selena Quintanilla. Hello, my name is Selena Quintanilla. I was the first woman latin singer in Tejano, Mexico, and I was shot and killed by the president of my fan club. I was born in Lake Jackson, Texas. I was the youngest child of Marcella & Abraham Quintanilla. In the year 1980 my father opened a Tex-Mex restaurant at which we, his children, performed as a band for customers. Our band was named Selena Y Los dinos, slang for Selena and the Boys. I started playing at the restaurant at age 8, in 1982. My father moved the family from Lake Jackson to Corpus Christi after the restaurant failed. Tejano Music Awards. Our band won the most promising band award in 1987.
In 1988 guitarist Chris Perez of San Antonio joins Los Dinos. Our band released two albums, Peciosa and Dulce amor. During the year 1989 I signed with EMI Latin. Before I was signed with EMI, our band had sold over 80,000 copies of our music in the state of Texas alone, with the Tejano labels GP, Cara Records, Manny, and Freddie Records before 1989.
In 1990 The album Selena y Los Dinos was released under the new label. The president of the recording company told me that they only wanted me, not Los Dinos, so from then on, I was Selena. On April 2, 1992, Chris Perez and I get married. “I was known as “The Queen of Tejano”.
In January of 1994, I opened my first clothing boutique. Yolanda quit her nursing job that year to help oversee the business. I was shot and killed by Yolanda, because my family confronted her about missing money from the fan club and my fashion boutiques on March 9th. I was killed at a Corpus Christi hotel on march 31 at age

My first knowledge of her came from the movie that was produced about her life. This movie included her childhood, her rise to fame, her relationships with her family and her husband, and her untimely death. She was a stunning flower that bloomed very young and kept growing with no sight on stopping. She had a gorgeous appearance. She had big brown eyes, ever changing hair styles, and a petite figure. Her husband was just as cute. A smaller guy but not too small. Selena and Chris fit together like two pieces of a puzzle. I developed a deep admiration for these two people and the things they experienced in their youth. I was always looking to learn more about their lives and what happened in Selena's tragic end that shook the world. After finding out that her widow wrote a book about her life, I was excited to get it and begin reading. I wondered if the movie had been completely valid. What did the movie leave out? How did Chris felt about her death? How does he feel now about all that transpired after Selena's death since this was not a perspective that the audience got to clearly see the movie? So, I went immediately, to buy the
