Selena Quintanilla Pérez was a famous Tex Mex woman who was a songwriter, fashion designer, a spokesperson, an actress, and a singer. Her life was filled with joy, music, performing, and she was loved by many. Unfortunately, things started to go downhill.

Selena was born April 16, 1971 to Mexican American parents in Lake Jackson Texas. She was the youngest child of Abraham and Marcella. Selena had a brother named Abraham (A.B.) and a sister Suzette. The three practiced playing the music together everyday for an hour. Selena started practicing her singing when she was just six years old.
