I dedicated my pep talk to to people who have impacted my life in a good way. These to people have been a part on my life from the beginning. My mom’s dad, aka. Pop-Pop is the first person I wanted to dedicate my speech to. Then I thought and I remembered my brother. My brother Owen has been a part of me since I was born. To start off I’d like to talk about my Pop-Pop. My Pop-Pop was a very humble man, and a friend to pretty much every person in the entire world. He would be that guy who made friends with the waiter. He was a lovable man with a strong love for his family. He was a kind hearted man who never showed a sign of hate, unless the eagles lost. Then he would get mad at the opposing team. My pop-pop has shown me that no matter who or what brings who down, there is another ladder to climb. He always told me that I had the best hugs, so I went around giving everyone hugs! Although he can be too annoying to handle sometimes he has taught me some incredible things. Owen has taught me to always stay humble. Owen attends Bonner high school, and is currently a sophomore. He made the Varsity baseball teams two years in a row. He is a starting player and is placed 4th in the batting line-up. I said he was humble, who says I can’t brag. If I did my baseball research correctly I can tell you that what he is doing is a pretty big deal. 4th position in the batting line-up is pretty good. That position is considered the “cleanup spot”. This meaning that you need to be powerful and have the ability to drive in runs with extra base hits. My brother is an amazing example for my speech because having this on his mind and wanting to tell everybody his great accomplishments. He doesn’t. He keeps it to himself and continues to work as hard as he can on all other work put in front of him. Owen is a smart, talented, boy with a dream.
