Our product ‘Playhaler’ is an anxiety decreasing pressurized metered-dose-inhaler (MDI) asthma administration device, which helps in controlling asthma in young children.

We also plan to supply in pharmacies such as in Boots, Tesco and ASDA. Have a tie up with a charity- ‘asthma UK’ and sell our products in their exhibition stalls. Also, sell online through Amazon and EBay.
- Promotion –
Promotion is the heart of marketing. We target to promote on social media websites like Facebook and Twitter (costs 20 pounds/day). Also promote through a charity – asthma UK through standees, discount vouchers and flyers in exhibition stall. Putting up posters, Pamphlets, point of sale standees in pharmacies, setup stalls in schools and advertise in hospital magazines. Have an assistant to promote in schools. Also, we plan to collect information from hospitals and send emails to asthma patients (Direct email marketing).
- Price –
The total cost of promotion for 1 year is £10,000 and after calculating the profit margins without reducing the level of sales volume, the cost of the product is £23 each (Butler).

Executive Summary- Allround is the leading medical product for cold in the OTC market. It is the most frequent purchase with a high conversation ratio, though the retention ratio has been decreasing, along with market share. Some competitors have introduced new products, and Allround is slowly waning having reached maturity. Therefore, the OCM Marketing team has developed a long term Marketing mix strategy until 10th period.
Our original marketing plan was not a plan at all. We wanted to see success and focused on revenues, net sales, and stock price to gauge whether we were doing what was best for the company. We made sure to locate a target market and base our promotional tactics on what young and mature families want and need. We ensured that we did the right thing in the face of adversity, especially when concerning intercompany issues and product tampering. Once our company is established, along with returning customers, and increasing referrals we should not have any problems with increasing revenue; as candles are always in demand.
Augustine Medical, Inc. should decide on the price of their product then make all the information available to hospitals and distributor organizations. The company should then attend as many medical trade shows as possible to increase the visibility of their product by providing demonstrations to prospective buyers. To obtain first mover advantage it is important that Augustine Medical, Inc. puts together a sales force to prospect and qualify potential buyers. The sales force should proceed by using direct selling tactics as well as guerilla marketing tactics to effectively penetrate the market. Because the Bair Hugger will be priced lower than our direct competitor’s products it is important that Augustine Medical, Inc. stays focused on it objective to increase sales volume and capture large portion of the market share in the early stages.
