The very vast and dominating history of the Pittsburg Steeler made it very interesting to write this paper on their large fan base. The Pittsburg Steelers where founded in 1933 making the city complete with 3 teams in the hierarchy: Pittsburgh Pirates, and the PITT Panthers. In the beginning they looked like a joke at times compared to the present day Cleveland Browns. This was until the hiring of head coach Chuck Noll in 1969 and the drafting of future Hall Of Fame Defensive Tackle “Mean Joe” Greene. The fan base started to sky rocket during the 1970-1980; this team won 4 Superbowls in the 1970 alone. But in the early 1980 the steel mill in Pittsburgh closed this meant that people had to leave to find new jobs. With the primary colors of black and yellow. The Steelers Nation that are from Pittsburgh have a very strong accent but they also have a very different slang that you would not use anywhere else. But the biggest thing you have to distinguish someone when is in the Steelers Nation or not is by seeing if they carry a “Terrible Towel”; a terrible towel is a trade mark for Steeler Nation when it comes to Sundays home or away you could count on there being multiple packs of Steeler fans waving yellow towels. “The Green Bay Packers are a non-profit corporation held by the citizens of Green Bay to run it’s football team”,who I think are the best, arguably are the most storied franchise in the National Football League, were organized on Aug,11, 1919, in the dingy second-floor editorial rooms of the old Green Bay Press-Gazette building, located on Cherry Street in downtown Green Bay. Never imagining what might become of the semipro football team being formed that day, nobody documented who was there or how many were on hand. There had been no announcement of the meeting beforehand, and the Press-Gazette provided no details about it the day after.Whether a full complement of players attended or if it was simply a
Their owner’s thirst for television coverage and eternal relevance has given him the nickname “The Ringmaster.” Enter New England Patriots. The team adorned in red, white and blue
H.G. Bissinger’s Friday Night Lights brings to mind the cold, autumn nights of 1988 where a town, just like any other rural town in America, was brought together in such a raw and emotional way. From the rise and fall of Boobie Miles to the push for the playoffs, it is clear that 1988 Odessa was swept up in the glory of football to replace the grandeur of the 1950s, which seemed to deteriorate throughout that hectic decade. While a modern reader may view Bissinger’s masterpiece as a tale from a dated and faraway place, several factors have kept it in the public’s eye. What is it about Friday Night Lights that still resonates today? The answer can still be found in the same rural towns of America. Though it may seem incredible, Texas is still football crazy, and it may be fairly concluded that emotions have only slightly receded from the obsession they once held towards high school football. People’s inability to analyze themselves, the impact a community can have on younger generations, and the way priorities can easily be warped all struck me as subjects that have stayed true in Texas culture over the past 26 years. I will be discussing these topics throughout this dissection of Friday Night Lights.

The Syracuse Chiefs are a minor league baseball team located in Central New York. The core of Chiefs’ games are composed of six components, including game form, players, fan behavior, equipment and apparel, venue, and personnel and process. The rules and techniques of baseball are what makes this sport differ from every other sport product. Over the years, the game of baseball has made several changes to its rules. In the early years of the game, batsman were allowed to request the pitch be thrown high or low. As time passed, the rules changed to creating a strike zone. This rule called for a higher level of skill in both the batters and pitchers, making the game more attractive to fans.
I believe that in order to live life with a smile on your face, you have to have patience. I believe this because I have had to be patient. I am where I am in sports and life in general because I’ve been patient. Similar, in a way, to Aaron Rodgers.
They didn’t — none of them called themselves Clevelanders. As I looked around the lounge of Twin Towers, I realized that most of these fans were here to cheer on their home team in the first Cleveland Browns-Pittsburgh Steelers game in three long years. The fans varied in hometown.
The Pittsburgh Steelers are arguably one of the greatest organizations in any professional sport. In the last 50 years they have won five Super Bowls. Within the organization they have always shown class and have been a gold standard for many teams because of their reputation. From an outsider’s perspective it is hard to imagine that there is anything that the Steelers should fix or focus on more. The purpose of this report is to provide the Pittsburgh Steelers with a S.W.O.T. analysis (Strengths, Weaknesses, Opportunities, and Threats). This report was done by Mike Carapellotti, Brandon Yakulis, Matt Nehr, and Andy Fedigan. Its goal is to point out key ideas and strategies that will ensure the Steelers organization continued success for the

All in all, sports fans are some of the most interesting people on the planet. Bandwagon fans like to switch it up every now and then. Casual spectators are there for the pure enjoyment of the show. Hometown/True Fans show their support through thick and then and The Coaches lives revolve around athletics. Even though they’re put into groups, every fan is one of a kind.
But despite Pittsburgh’s growth in population many of its residents started to become concerned about their hometown and its future. These Pittsburgh natives were concerned for reasons such as; the arrival of railroads wiping out the main source of trade, a change in the social relation of the city due to a rise in manufacturing, and the competition in the iron industry.
I asked multiple people what made them the football fans they are, and their answers ranged from, “It’s how I was raised” to “I’m American”. I never got a good, scientific explanation. No one could explain how they could go from being regular, soft spoken people outside of the stadium, to raging adrenaline fueled spectators shouting at players they don’t even know personally until they have no voice left. But at the same time, no one thought their actions were out of the ordinary or unwarranted.
One of the most storied franchises in all of professional sports the Pittsburgh Steelers have put this steel town on the map as the city of champions. “The Chief” Art Rooney a southwestern Pennsylvania native founded the Steelers in 1933. However, the team would be named “Pirates” at first and would be the 10th team to join the NFL.
There are many reasons school sports are beneficial to young athletes. That does not mean there are no problems with them at all because there are. Researches that work for High School Reporting Information Online (RIO) estimated that during the 2005-2006 football season, there were 517,726 football-related injuries. Not only that but from 200 to 2005, over 200,000 non-fatal injuries to the brain were related to football. These numbers are not positive to support school sports, and it is right to want to try and fix those numbers, but cutting sport funds is not the way to rid this problem.
The best feeling in the world is in the last two minutes of a competitive high school game. High school sports have influenced the lives of young adults in beneficial ways through the leadership of coaches, and their teachings, in order to be successful throughout their lives.
