My career goal is to have the ability to tell a story through images. These images will be the documentation of important moments in someone’s life and with these images, persons will get to relive the moments that truly matter. My father is the person who influenced me to pursue a career in the most amazing type of art. Photography is a passion that he has and my father has been gifted with a remarkable eye to create pictures that others cannot visualize. I have been fortunate to have such a wonderful teacher and I have carried on that desire for this type of art. Throughout the years we realized that this gift should be shared with others and it gave us the opportunity to start a family business. We love to capture weddings and big social
The dream that I most desire in life is to become a Diagnostic Medical Sonographer. I’ve always had an interest in the inner workings of the human body, but I also value life, and care for others, and my happiness is the happiness of others. Although this career has its bumps on the road just to see mothers face light up when they see the image of their unborn baby is such a breath taking experience. This all originated from going to one of my sisters’ ultrasound appointment that I ended up going to all my sisters’ ultrasound appointments. I believe becoming a diagnostic medical sonographer is something I can do because I have what it takes. Diagnostic medical sonographer is imaging modality that can work in conjunction with other imaging modalities
Truck driving is a much needed career to help transport goods across the United States and other local areas. Commercial Truck Driving is the career I choose to uphold. Trucking is a way of transportation needed to keep business going. Trucking has been a part of my family for years so I fell in love with trucks now I won’t to drive my own. This career has a good background, career requirements, job positions, and a good reflection.
Practiced by thousands who shared no common tradition or training from the earliest days of taking photos, the first photographers were disciplined and united by no academy or guild, who considered their medium variously as a trade, a science, an art, or an entertainment, and who often were unaware of each other’s work. Exactly as it sounds photography means photo-graphing. The word photography comes from two Greek words, photo, or “light”, and graphos, or drawing and from the start of photography; the history of the aforementioned has been debated. The idea of taking pictures started some thirty-one thousand years ago when strikingly sophisticated images of bears, rhinoceroses, bison, horses and many other types of creators were painted on the walls of caves found in southern France. Former director of photography at New Yorks museum of modern art says that “The progress of photography has been more like the history of farming, with a continual stream of small discoveries leading to bigger ones, and in turn triggering more experiments, inventions, and applications while the daily work goes along uninterrupted.” ˡ
It is difficult to answer whether or not Robin Hood really existed as over time the story of Robin Hood has been changed, but most sources say that he did exist around the time of King Richard the Lionheart.
I would like to begin this reflection paper with my past experiences. First, I am an older student – obtaining my first bachelors from Hofstra University. As a sophomore in broadcast journalism, I was assigned the task of interviewing a graduate student in speech-language pathology as part of a career exploration video for incoming freshman. Filming her and her fellow classmates as they helped children overcome their stutter and gain both confidence and a voice, I was fascinated by the amazing work they were doing. But I had already begun searching for a career path in public relations, soon taking a job at a public relations firm on Long Island focusing on business clients. Within three months, I started dreaming about a career more than a
My dream career would be owning and operation my own therapeutic riding center for disabled children and veterans. I would allow those with emotional, mental or physical disabilities into my program. Together we would increase their physical, emotional, spiritual, and cognitive abilities. Studies have shown that horse back riding is the only exercise that gives riders the swinging motion that is very similar to that of walking. Therefore it develops core muscles and soothes the mind because it can be strenuous and relaxing at the same time. I have seen the results first hand and it makes all the effort put in worthwhile. If nothing else, it gives the kids tremendous confidence. This would be my perfect situation, sadly that is just not realistic.
My grandfather was able to begin a simple career at a young age for the sake of others. He dropped out of middle school so he can pay for his older sibling’s education and help his family. His career as a merchant began as a helping hand in his family’s furniture store, but as he grew older he was able to expand this business. This shows that he had such a successful career and was one of the most famous merchants in Jordan and Palestine. This also shows that after this successful career helped his own future and his sibling’s future, his siblings grew up to
Already, I have started creating my collection of cameras and lenses, bought with my hard-earned cash. I took a class or two under one of my favorite photographers, Kori Hoffman, as well as modeled for some of her classes. Using the information I have learned from her classes I have been able to start my "business" already! I took three seniors pictures for graduation and two family photographs. From my little experience modeling for Mrs. Hoffman, I have gained some knowledge of how to arrange people so they look the best in photographs. Even though I have already had some success with my photography, the unknown is starting to loom in the near-future which sometimes causes me
For 19 years, this photo of myself as a child posing with my grandmother has sat on my shelf. Growing up, my grandmother was an integral part of my life. For a majority of my life, she lived in an apartment above our garage. Without a doubt, I spent more of my childhood with her than anyone else. She was a role model and above all else a close friend. I do not remember this photo being taken, nor do I remember where I was when this photo was taken, but the contingency of photography forces me to recognize that the referent of this photograph truly occurred. Immediately, this photo speaks to the strong relationship between me and my grandmother, which in this case is the photographs studium. Anyone glancing at this photograph
Photojournalism plays a critical role in the way we capture and understand the reality of a particular moment in time. As a way of documenting history, the ability to create meaning through images contributes to a transparent media through exacting the truth of a moment. By capturing the surreal world and presenting it in a narrative that is relatable to its audience, allows the image to create a fair and accurate representation of reality.
In life I want to become a fashion designer. My goals are to create clothing that is for all sizes, ages, and genders. In my clothing I want t show a creative side of my art ability and I want to make my clothing affordable for all as well. I think I influenced myself to wanting to become a fashion designer because I have a passion for art and wanting to become a fashion designer.
My families believe I was going to be some big time lawyer or doctor but I had a different path. First, I wanted to be a choreographer because I love dancing and it was a way to keep fit. Dancing was a sense of fun and exercise, but becoming a television host or a news broadcaster. I wanted to be like Oprah having my own talk show discussing the many issues and having celebrity guess come on and discuss the great things that are surrounding their lives. After being able to discuss my future with my family, they believe that I can do so much better and to do what I love and enjoy it without any
My goals for achieving this career is first to finish college I think I’ll be at WTCC for at least two years and maybe a summer but ill finish out my business degree at North Carolina State University and during college I will finish my business plan just like my older brother I’m doing the same thing he is basically so I can get a business loan for said business. Also my family and close friends are always there to help me with any money situations or even to help out at the business if I need like a manager or just trusted employee I can count
My career goal is to specialize in cardiology or neurology after majoring in biology for my undergraduate years and work with an organization that specializes in either one of those two fields. My life aspirations are to continue to gain more knowledge and excel in a career where I can be financially stable. I love learning; I love it when I learn something in one class and I am able to connect it to the concepts in another class or apply it to life in general. To me, learning is a lifelong process. However, I cannot describe how many times wonderful opportunities were available for me, but I could not take advantage of them because of my family 's financial circumstance.
Imagine a world where women -- WOMEN -- women with children -- dare to enjoy a career that gives their life meaning, that reinforces their sense of self-worth and independence.
