all the advertising. Callaway will be giving us the permission to use their brand and products for our movie and some professional golfers that you sponsor. In turn we at NBC will give your company the most brand recognition to insure the most amount of screen time for your company to increase sales. Summary Of Facts We at NBC are one of the best for golf viewership because we are the top rated golf channel. We also own the Golf Channel which is the third most watched in golf viewership. This makes us the most qualified network to premiere this movie and will insure the most amount of unique views. Both of our channels (NBC sports and Golf Channel) make up most of the market with both channels being on an upward trend. Ratings rose for the Hero World Challenge golf tournament by 57% from last year. The “arnie” documentary was the most watched original production with over 1.75 million unique views on the Golf Channel. With this only being shown on our second channel the views will be a lot more if we show this movie on both channels, NBC sports and Golf channel. In this movie we will be focusing on Phil Mickelson and how his short game is the best in golf. We will also be promoting your brand because Phil Mickelson uses your wedges, and equipment. Your brand will be on everything in the movie which will give your company the most amount of recognition possible. We will be showing Phil and other pros and how they like using your clubs and other equipment and how it has taken Phil Mickelson to where he is today. During the movie we will be interviewing some of your professionals like Rory Mcilroy, Danny Lee, and Danny Willett, asking them about Phil and your company. With you net sales being over 840 Million last year we expect that this number will grow after this movie because of all the viewership and the professionals talking about and using your brand. Target market Age - 18-39 Income - $90,000-$110,000 Education - college/university graduate We have chose this target market because we have found that the average age to watch golf is around 18-39 years old with more than 45% viewership over the rest . College level is a regular level and the income is higher than average. Event For the event we will host a charitable golf tournament sponsored by Callaway with with its brand everywhere to get the most brand recognition, and to insure sale boosts for your company.
This charitable tournament will also give Callaway a good reputation to sponsoring this event and will make potential buyers view you as a corporate responsible company which in turn will increase sales and profit. This tournament will be at Pebble Beach Golf course 1 week before the movie premiere. In this tournament there will be a group of four of your Professionals, including Phil Mickelson, that Callaway sponsors to play in a foursome, all the funds will go to a charity of your choice. At the end of the 18 holes there will be a dinner party in the clubhouse, special invitations will be sent out to PGA, US Golf, and representatives from The Masters golf tournament. This dinner party will have silent auctions from things donated from the pro’s (I.e golf clubs, signed gloves/balls, golf bags, etc) all funds will go towards charity. The movie will be called “Phil's way around the green” and will be promoted on our channels before the release of the movie to insure the most amount of viewership. The advertisements will start when big tournaments are going on like The Masters (April 6-9), US Open (June 15-18), John Deere Classic (July 13-16), The Open (July 20-23), and the Canadian Open (July 27-30). During “Morning Drive” the biggest news spot for golf, we can have small bits on the release of our movie. And before the movie airs on television we will put up a “Top 10 shots by Phil Mickelson” to draw in some of the fans who did not hear about the release of our
movie.
The agency I chose to do is the Hillandale golf course, which is located in Durham North Carolina. The reason why I chose to do my project on Hillandale golf course because since the beginning of the semester I have been traveling over to the golf course twice a week for a class learning the rules and the way the game of golf is played. Hillandale golf course is named the “Granddaddy golf course of Durham/ Research Triangle golf”. Hillandale was donated to the Durham area back in 1911 through the philanthropic interests of long-time Durham resident John Sprunt Hill. Donald Ross and Perry Maxwell originally designed the course. Donald Ross had designed the first 9 holes and Perry Maxwell came up with the last 9 holes. Since 1960 over 1.7 million rounds of golf have been played that being an average of 45,000 yearly. This public golf course provides a challenge from each level of players in the game of golf. In 1960, the Hillandale Golf Course was moved to its current location in Durham and was redesigned by George Cobb, who is also the designer of the Surf Club in Myrtle Beach, S.C.
The Westing Game by Ellen Raskin is a mystery that involves sixteen heirs, an eccentric millionaire, and an elusive game. Sam Westing brought the people together to find out who took his life, and the winner could gain millions. In the end, the players all benefited from Westing’s plan. However, since there is both a movie and a book version of the story, there are similarities and differences.
6AM. A young man wakes up, showers, and eats breakfast. He then continues to his bedroom, embellishing himself in the simple yet characteristic mixture of white and khaki. He continues to his place of employment, breathing the soft scent of elm and grass. Within the caddie must lay the characteristics of a well-rounded, young adult, embodying the work ethic of those most inspiring before him. Charles “Chick” Evans, who once was a caddy and worldly renowned golfer, appreciates the fine young adults that have endured the morning wakeup call everyday in the summer. To whom that are applicable can ultimately be awarded the Chick Evans Caddie Scholarship. Named after Chick Evans himself because he dropped out of college in 1912 for lack of money, the scholarship is funded by donations from golfers and the proceeds of an annual professional tournament (Spears, 1995). Although Chick Evans has passed away many years ago, his legacy still lives on through the 825 scholars currently enrolled in 19 universities all across the United States. Chick Evans has made a profound have impact on the golf community and caddies looking for a way to pay for college.
“Titleist 's mission is to serve the needs of the dedicated and recreational golfer with value added products and services that have a competitive advantage worldwide” (T. (2016).
Mr. Callaway had once stated, “ We feel we have been extremely fortunate in our success as a company so much so that we would like to give something back to the community that helped make us so successful.” Therefore in 1993, they have donated $1 million. They were established with the mission to improve the community where Callaway Golf employees work and live. This was the same year that has signed an amateur golfer at the time, Annika Sorenstam, as a staff professional.
Pete Rose Bart Giamatti’s decision to ban Pete Rose from the Baseball Hall of Fame was not a fair decision at all. Pete Rose was placed on Baseball’s ineligible list in 1989 when commissioner of baseball, Bart Giamatti, concluded that Rose had bet on baseball games, including games involving his own team, the Cincinnati Reds. In an agreement made with Baseball, Rose accepted his banishment from the sport. Although he never admitted to having gambled at baseball games (Maury). Pete Rose was a phenomenal baseball player and manager.
Golf is the ultimate battle between man and nature. It is a beautiful sport in which dreams come true and hearts are broken. Man is challenged on every stroke by nature’s elements. Wind and rain are only a few of the conditions that affect this great game. Undulating hills, sand bunkers, thick rough, and even creeks and ponds come into play on most golf courses. These features are fierce at Augusta National Golf Course. Located along the fall line, the natural beauty of the region is the perfect complement to this championship golf course. Every spring when the flowers are in full bloom, Augusta plays host to The Masters Championship and is transformed into the Mecca of Golf.

From its initial existence R&D and innovative products had been the lifeline of CGC. When Callaway bought into the company his first initiative was to develop original products. Innovation and superior performing products are important in golf because equipment is thought to have a significant impact on player performance. Moreover, innovation was important because CGC had to be the technological leader to sell its products at premium price and continue to exceed customer expectations. The industry was also characterized as being driven by new product development because manufacturers were trying to bet each other to the next "best club" so CGC had to manufacture products that were differentiated from its own existing products as well as those of its competitors.
Imagine the sun bursting through the trees for the first time of the new day, the smell of freshly cut grass still potent to your nose as you tee the ball up for a round of golf in the cool mist of a spring morning. "That is what brings you back every time, the smell of the air, the coolness of the whether and the beautiful surroundings that make every shot enjoyable." (Suess, PI) This is the game of golf in its finest and most exquisite time to many people and many people it has touched in its long history. Golf is a lifestyle and not just games to people that are avid in playing. The game of golf has a history that is rich in technological advances and personal accomplishments, which through time has shown to shape the sport into what it has become today.
Golf. A sport that started out with just a wooden stick and ball, is now a very well know game by many people all around the globe. Thesis: Professional golfer Tiger Woods is a modern-day tragic hero because his flaw of excessive pride directly led to the destruction of both his personal relationships and his professional career. Tiger took complete responsibility for his actions, but it came too late and by then he ended up suffering consequences that were excessive compared to his errors.
Tiger now lives in a new home in Isleworth, Florida. Near the west side of
The reason why I chose to do my research paper on Pete Sampras is because I love to play tennis, and Pete is the greatest tennis player alive. I have always made him my role model, and I hope to one day meet him. I try and model my tennis game after his and it has really helped my tennis game. Pete Sampras is my childhood hero, and that is the reason why I chose the topic of Pete Sampras.
