“To me, football is so much about mental toughness, it‘s digging deep, it's doing whatever you need to do to help a team win and that comes in a lot of shapes and forms” (Tom Brady). Yearly they go against each other usually in big games and people compare them too Larry Bird and Magic Johnson (Maxymuk 92). Even though Peyton Manning has better stats, Tom Brady is expected to pass Peyton. Tom Brady and Peyton Manning are similar in stats, accomplishments, and Super Bowl’s.
The stats of these two future hall of fame quarterbacks is pretty close but Peyton edges Tom out by a little bit. “Of their sixteen meetings, Brady has won eleven and Manning has won five” (hersh). They both have had most touchdowns in a single season, Brady had fifty

but Peyton edged him out and got fifty five. They both have had four thousand yard seasons but like before Peyton He has fourteen, four thousand passing yard in a single season (Curtis) and Tom has seven so Peyton has double as many as Tom has. They both have lot of game winning drives but, Peyton has more he has fifty six and Tom has fifty one this ones not as far apart as the last one but Peyton has better stats than Tom. In Super Bowls Tom has the edge over Peyton.
Tom has won five Super Bowls, which is a record for the most by and one single person. Tom has won with only one team the Patriots. Peyton has won two both with different teams, one with the Colts and one with the Broncos. He leads in almost every stat in the passing category and is the first to win Super Bowl’s with two different teams (Peyton Manning). Tom has four Super Bowl's, Most Valuable Player awards and Peyton has one “Brady became the first quarterback in National Football League history to take home five Super Bowl rings (editors).” Showing Tom does better in the clutch and in the postseason he has more wins. Peyton does good in the season and gets the good stats in a single season, but he can’t finish in the long run so it's hard to tell which one is the better one of the two. Heres some examples of Tom in the Super Bowl He built three touchdown drives to finish the greatest rebound in Super Bowl history and win his fifth Super Bowl. Brady won the MVP honor and set the record for most passing yards in a Super Bowl with four hundred and sixty six, but it's the sheer greatness of the rebound that makes this his best Super Bowl execution ever (RAPAPORT). And something else Tom Brady’s in the Super Bowl has been a boon for advertisers stuck with fourth quarter time slots. Every time the Patriots play for an NFL title, the final fifteen minutes of the game becomes appointment viewing. The four-time Super Bowl MVP …show more content…
has been the catalyst behind seventy seven, fourth quarter and overtime points with the franchise (D'Andrea). They both have significant amount accomplishments in their career here is a couple.
They were both drafted into to the NFL and Peyton was drafted first overall in 1998 by the Colts. Tom was drafted a hundred and ninety ninetieth in 2000 by the Patriots. Everyone passes on Tom because he was slow in the forty and no team thought he would be good because he didn’t start in college for a long time. Both of them have won league MVPs but Peyton Has more with five while Tom has two. It’s as the usual Peyton does better in the regular season but not in the postseason like
Tom. Peyton has way better stats than Tom does but Tom is catching up. Tom is better in the postseason and has won more Super Bowls. This is what I’ve been going with the whole paper so I don’t know which one is the best you can argue all you want, but they're both good and they're both going to the Hall of Fame. So it’s hard to tell which one is better
The sports critics even say it, they have played on the best team in the NFL. For instance, go watch some of Troy Polamalu highlights on YouTube, he jumps over offensive linemen and makes game games saving tackles or interceptions. James Harrison just bullies opposing linemen that are in his way they can not block him 1 on 1 when he is at a full head of steam or fully healthy, Harrison may be bald but Polamalu is one of the leading roles for Men’s Head & Shoulders. His hair alone is worth millions of dollars which awesome because it is just the hair in his head. Most people wish to be worth more than 500 thousand and his hair is worth millions. Harrison has some of the biggest hits in the NFL he hit Josh Cribbs like he stole sum which was not all that surprising. He is the strongest person in the NFL right at this moment. This is why they are two of the best players to play the game of football. If you the people do not believe me, go look at their highlights they are awesome. Just go check them out one day that will be one of the best things you do you would think that you are amazing, but you would be way more than that you would be flabbergasted. You may even be supercalifragilisticexpialidocious which means “extraordinarily
The one achievement which makes both of these players a cinch for the Hall of Fame is the feet that they both reached in the 1992 season. That achievement was getting their 3000th career hit.
Today I’m here to talk about how Tom Brady is a cheater. On February 1, 2015 super bowl XLIX was played. The game ended with the New England Patriates defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24. The balls used by the Patriates put in Tom Brady’s hands had been deflated prior to the game. The game was played in an over cast and rainy weather forecast. Where deflated balls would be easier to catch/throw.
father would tell young Dan throws it from your ear. His dad would hit grounder
LeBron and Kevin are similar in many ways. One of the biggest comparisons is that they play small forward. A small forward or three as some people call it, is like an inbetween player for size. The small forward is normally a lot taller than the point guard and shooting guard but, mostly smaller than a power forward or center. LeBron and Kevin have both lead the league in scoring at one time in their career. Kevin and LeBron averaged around twenty-eight to thirty points a game when they won these awards. They are also
In 1988 Brett had his big break. He broke the school record of touchdowns by throwing
Wes & Wes Moore could’ve of easily ended up with the same fate. It is the choices they made, the environment they were provided with, the support and choices of their families and the mind set they chose to have the set them apart from each other. The two Wes Moore’s paths went different ways for many reasons but some were more significant than others.
Many think Tom Brady is a great quarterback. He has great statistics and has won many Super Bowls.
“Religion is the backbone of evolution.” Without the cultural differences and belief systems we would not have a regulated religious base. It is evident some religions can be both alike but yet still very different. The historical William Bradford and Jonathan Edwards demonstrate this theory. William Bradford portrays more leniencies while allowing for more religious tolerance within the puritan community. With some contrasting beliefs but familiar goals, Jonathan Edwards, pursued a stricter religious background. Both of these author’s play an important role in sculpting the puritan way of life.
Every person ever associated with football knows how the game is played. They know every rule, play, stat, and anything else that can be recorded. There was a certain one of these people, though, that stood out from the rest. This was a man by the name of Vince Lombardi. Most people generally know who Vince Lombardi was. They know him as the former, and most famous, coach of the Green Bay Packers back in the late fifties and early sixties. They also recognize him as the man the trophy awarded to the Super Bowl winner, the Lombardi Trophy, is named after. This is all common knowledge in the football world. Do any of these people know who Vince really was? Do they know what he did to the game of football? Do they know that he changed the game, forever? Not many can actually say they know what Vince Lombardi did to the game of football that left a lasting impression. There can be arguments made of other coaches that have made great lasting impressions in football. Some names including: Bud Grant, Mike Ditka, and Don Shula. If you look more in depth at this though, they haven’t left that big of a lasting impression of the game. None of them really changed the way the game of football is played. None of them did like Vince Lombardi. He was the first to truly take risks to change the game of football. Through hard work, dedication, and an understanding of the game, Vince Lombardi was truly the most influential person in footballs history.
The quarterback (QB) is the undisputed on-field leader of a football team. As such, it is the QB that the team and the fans turn to with the game on the line. Some QB’s embrace the challenge and excel, others falter and fall on their faces. Joe Montana was a QB who embraced those moments and not only excelled, but excelled above all others.
What truly is amazing is the person Tim Tebow represents off the field. He is a devout Christian who works to spread his religion and give hope to those in need. Tebow has been involved with controversy that started in his days in high school, due to a law in Florida that allowed him to pick his high school. Tebow is possibly the only player to be under national scrutiny from his high school playing days through his career in the NFL both on and off the field. Most of this controversy is because of his faith and how he displayed it on field. The best way to describe him is to say that he is a polarizing person and player in the sense that people either love or hate him. Tim Tebow is, indeed, a great person and role model on the playing field as well as off of it.
When he first started competing he was a compound bow competitor but recently switched to the recurve bow in 2006. The reason that he made this switch was because he had hoped to make the USA Olympic Team to compete in the 2008 Beijing Olympic Games. Brady would eventually make the team going to Beijing and start training with the team to prepare for the competition. According to Brady’s personal website, while he was training for the 2008 Olympics he even put off surgery for nine months, from complications with the tear in his hip from Perthes disease, so that he could still train for and compete in the Beijing Olympic Games. Brady putting off this surgery so that he could compete in the Olympics makes some of his amazing traits shine through to the surface. The traits of Brady Ellison that started to shine through at this point in his life are his perseverance, motivation, tenacity, and his dedication. These traits are essential too Brady because these have helped him to become an Olympic silver medalist and an inspiration to everyone in the world who does not believe in what they are capable
Athletes who play football share the same goal as athletes who play soccer: score the most goals to win the game. In football, there are two areas on opposite sides of the field where one can score points by bringing the football over the goal line. Soccer shares this same concept by having two nets on opposite sides of the field where one can score a point by kicking the soccer ball into the net. Also, both sports share the concept of having an offense and defense, and both sports each have eleven players on a team on the field at a time. These are only few of many similarities between these two sports, but in actuality, they are significantly different. The rules, rituals, and concepts of both sports distinguish themselves from each other.
In all of the years that the game of pro football has been played there have only been twenty-two coaches that have made it into the hall of fame which means that they have done a significant amount of work in the coaching industry and made a huge impact on the game (Positions). The strategies that they have used to be such a great coach must have been incredibly good. A lot of people wonder what the strategies to coach a football team and strategies that famous coaches have used to be a successful coach are. Two of the most well-known coaches are Vince Lombardi and John Madden; they were the best coaches to ever coach the game in people’s opinion because their play strategies were so incredibly good. They had the best run plays and pass plays for offense. They also had the best defensive formations for defense, the man coverage, zone coverage, four three coverage, and the three four coverage. They had the best plays for both shotgun and pistol formation plays. They even had the best special team type plays from fake field goals to onside kick returns. John Madden and Vince Lombardi are the best National Football League coaches to ever coach in the National Football League because of all of these great plays that they used to get so high in the coaching industry. There are probably a lot more well-known and great coaches, but they have not done as much or close as what these two brilliant coaches have done to entertain the world in the game of football. Not only did they have the best play types and strategies to use, they both also had a great variety of players on their teams. If Lombardi was not as good of a coach as people say, then he would not have a trophy named after him for the team that wins the annual super bowl each ye...
