Dr. Kim,
Hi Dr. Kim! Thank you so much for listening to my ideas the last time I saw you! Me and Nathan have done more research about preventing and fighting cancer, we have decided to make a kit including a medicine and diet that should be used while using the medicine.
In China, a plant called Astragalus or Huang Qi is used to boost your immune system. Also, there is another plant called Ligustrum Lucidum or Glossy Privet that can be combined with Astragalus to fight cancer like breast cancer, lung cancer, etc. By combining these plants we can both prevent cancer and fight cancer because both plants boost your immune system. Not only do we prevent and fight cancer but that is also preventing any further diseases.
In order to boost
the immune system, we need different types of diet, healthy ways to keep your body strong, and different vitamins. In the diet, different herbs can be used to fight off the cancer and work with the blood cells. For example, garlic has been seen to fight against bacteria, funguses, and viruses. Along with Aloe vera. Aloe vera has been seen to heal minor damages like wounds, frostbites, and burns. You won’t heal well without a healthy lifestyle. Make sure to get plenty of sleep, maintain a healthy weight, and importantly eat many fruits, vegetables, and grains. Some things to avoid are smoking and drinking, they are not good for your immune system. Vitamin A is known to help against infections by influencing certain cells to form and fight the virus. Zinc is great for the immune cells to function the way that they should. In the medicine, we have decided to include ingredients (these ingredients are not going to all be in the medicine but are thoughts of what can and should be in the medicine) like astragalus, ligustrum lucidum, zinc, THC, which is a certain herbs that has already been tested and has worked in Spain, and NO SUGAR ADDED. Thank you so much for reading our letter and wanting to learn more about our project, we really appreciate any of your advice and would love to talk more about the project. Bye! Sincerely, Leila Fehme and Nathan Neyhouse
Pancreatic cancer has become a taboo topic that many people are afraid to speak out about. It looms over families like a dark cloud, and manages to destroy people in a scarily short amount of time.
What the recent studies are showing is pretty scary. Our country has the highest number of colon-rectal cancer cases being reported in the entire world. And the disease is equally extensive among males as they are in females. In fact the disease today is killing more Americans than it ever did before. To some it is too embarrassing a subject to talk about. But it must be realized that cancer and deaths resulting from that are much more serious things and should be dealt brushing aside all sorts of inhibitions.
Colon cancer is a deadly cancer but sometimes you can survive through it if you find out sooner that you are diagnosed with colon cancer. People that are older than 50 are usually diagnosed with colon cancer. Colon cancer can spread different part of your body and cause you a lot of pain. Doctors have found some treatments to fix colon cancer but when you are on stage three or four sometimes there is nothing that they can do. Doctors are working hard to find new treatments and maybe someday colon cancer would not be a cancer that can kill you anymore.
Pollution is affecting many individuals and life, as we know it. We need to do something about how it’s affecting our world. That’s why I urge the issue that more people should realize that pollution is an issue that needs to be prevented because of its negative consequences. Which are health affects, the total destruction of environments, and the death of animals and plants. More awareness must be brought up amongst the people and they must realize the long-term benefits it has for the world.
Kids are meant to be happy, play outside, go to school, and have fun. They aren’t meant to sit in hospitals, losing weight by the pound, carrying around IV poles filled with poison. It’s ridiculous and immature that we don’t have a cure for childhood cancer. The only “treatment” that we have is chemotherapy- a chemical that seems to help fight off cancer. Chemo doesn’t just fight off cancer cells though- it fights off healthy cells in your blood, mouth, digestive system, and hair follicles. The most frustrating thing about childhood cancer is that only 4% of federal funding is exclusively dedicated to childhood cancer research. It is true that more adults get diagnosed with cancer than kids, but does that mean that adults are 96% more important than children? The average age of diagnosis for an adult with cancer is age 67, and the average number of years lost is 15. 15 years are definitely many years, but not that many compared to the average number of years lost for a child- 71. Also, age 67 is a lot older than the average age of diagnoses for a child- age 6. At least the adults get to grow up and have the ability to even have cancer- some of these kids can’t even get through a fifth of their lives.
What is the best medieval technology? Many may ask if there is even good medieval tech. That's probably because many think of medieval torture devices like the pear of anguish or the brazen bull, but there are good ones too. For example, the guillotine, which is arguably the best. The guillotine is the best medieval technology because it was a more humane way of execution, it was a popular form of entertainment, and it could be made child-sized.
PURPOSE: To persuade my audience that we must take action now to control air pollution
It is believed that ginseng can improve general health, and actually restrain or repressing a disease. To begin with, ginseng is deemed to boost overall immunity. "Studies suggest that members of the ginseng family may even be able to stimulate the body to produce more interferon, the antiviral protective protein" (Fulder, 1996, p.61). Research studies conducted indicate that ginseng enhanced the blood whereby the manufacturing of white blood cells and antibodies in the red bone marrow increases, thus boosting our immune system ( Fulder, 1996). Second, ginseng is considered to have certain beneficial effects on cancer patients. "The one important potential use of ginseng in cancer is for support during treatment, which is stressful, debilitating, and damaging to immunity" (Fulder, 1996, p.62). Ginseng will not prevent cancer, but it can help prevent the increased risk of secondary growths. Finally, ginseng helps stabilize metabolism disorders. People with diabetes (which is an impaired metabolism of sugar) take ginseng to help their bodies become accustomed to the insulin treatments. Also, when the metabolic rate is to slow, ginseng assists the metabolism by increasing the breakdown of foods, thus creating more energy and explusion of waste products. All in all, available evidence does imply that ginseng aids the body in fighting and to susta...

The topic that I will be focusing on for this assignment is on the screening of lung cancer, since this is one of the most controversial debates all across the world. The significance of this topic is that when it comes to lung cancer screening, many individuals may or may not abide by it. There are many reasons to why individuals may not want to have their screening done for lung cancer. The top two reasons are that the screening itself is expensive and secondly, the results that they get from the screening may not be accurate. Imagine, if the results came up as a positive, for the ones who really do not have lung cancer, the amount of pain, time and money that they have put into the curing of lung cancer, is painful. At the same, time it is not fair for them to go through this much, when they actually do not have lung cancer. In this paper, I will discuss how lung cancer screening is a controversial issue and why it impacts us as a society and what problems that the family members, friends and medical doctors have to face if something does goes wrong.. Here is a portion of my essay that will appear on the final copy of my essay.
Summer has come to an end and school back in full swing. One is ready to crush the challenges facing a 5th grader. The last bell for recess sounds. Young boys race outside to enjoy the sun’s warmth. Name calling and horse-playing around immediately begins as they plan their weekend fun. Challenging each other to execute silly acts or daring one another to flirt with the girls across the playground. One yells out if you don’t jump from the top you are a sissy. Then one hears ask Julie out first. Recess is almost over when another one yells out he won’t…he’s a gay sissy. Silence has now blanketed the playground and one could hear a pin drop. Saved by the bell it was time to line up and head back to class. The final bell of the day
Herbal remedies’ qualities are widespread availability, lower cost, effective for chronic conditions. Herbal remedies are the use of plants or plant extract to treat a person’ overall health. Herbal treatments are prominent for developing countries for instance, “in Africa up to 90% and in India 70% of the population depend on traditional medicine to help meet their health care needs” (Wachtel-Galor & Benzie, 2011), due to their low cost and availability. Herbal remedies have gained attention in the past decades, and expanding their uses due to the increased interest of natural therapies (Wachtel-Galor & Benzie, 2011). Herbs used on the remedies grow in the wild throughout the world, therefore making it easy to
Smoking is not only bad for health it is also as bad for the people
Hepatitis, flu, herpes, c-diff, HIV, and many more are considered infectious diseases where throughout our lifetime we will contract many of them. One of these diseases is in one third of Earth’s human population and in the future, could be in you. Tuberculosis is an airborne disease transmitted through air either by coughing, sneezing, laughing or just about any other way when you open your mouth to do something. With all diseases come symptoms, treatments, medications, transmission routes, and disease history and outcome.
One of the biggest problems that people are faced with on a day-to-day basis is cigarette smoke. The sole cause for 480,000 deaths each year just in the United States is accredit to cigarettes(CDC). For a lot of the smokers the habit of smoking happens to assist them when under stress and dealing with issues that are unmanageable. Some smoke to appeal to their peers or simply because it “feels good.” Smoking one cigarette can lead to a major addiction. The effects of smoking hurt oneself and those amongst us. Smoking Kills as the ad portrays this revolver and cigarettes as the bullets, and also lists the side effects of smoking. Cigarettes causes cancer, increases the risk of you getting a stroke, highly addictive and causes a lot of health problems. Nearly 16
