Hepatitis, flu, herpes, c-diff, HIV, and many more are considered infectious diseases where throughout our lifetime we will contract many of them. One of these diseases is in one third of Earth’s human population and in the future, could be in you. Tuberculosis is an airborne disease transmitted through air either by coughing, sneezing, laughing or just about any other way when you open your mouth to do something. With all diseases come symptoms, treatments, medications, transmission routes, and disease history and outcome.

If your doctor advises you that you are positive with latent TB, your doctor may recommend you to take medications to reduce your risk of developing active tuberculosis. The only type of tuberculosis that is contagious is the “active variety” when it affects the lungs and they can be stressed enough to stop working properly. If you can prevent your tuberculosis from becoming active, you can stop the flow of transmission to other people. Ways to protect your family and friends by staying inside don’t go to school or work or anything. Make sure to have ventilation in the room, tuberculosis germs spread easier in small condensed rooms where air doesn 't move as much. Make sure to always have an open window to blow the germs and other mechanisms outside. Make sure you always cover your mouth, when you laugh, sneeze, or cough. The proper procedure is to put any dirty tissues in a bag, tighten the bag and remove it from the house “throw it away”. Another important thing is to wear a mask during the first three weeks of treatment, to lessen the risk of transmission. While you are taking your medications, make sure you finish all of your medication! Taking it will reduce the chance of it happening again, but if you do decide to stop taking it you are at risk of the TB bacteria to come back, which will result in
