Benjamin Solomon "Ben" Carson, a retired neurosurgeon surgeon and conservative commentator, also is a candidate for the Republican nominee for President of the United States in the 2016 election. Carson was a second child of his mother Sonya, Carson and his brother was raised in poverty. Ben Carson overcame his troubled youth in inner-city Detroit to become a neurosurgeon well-known for successfully separating conjoined twins. In 2015, Carson became one of many candidates pursuing to conquest the official Republican presidential nomination. Obama’s health care plan is “in a way” like slavery because “it robs you of your ability to control your own life.” (CNSNews.com). Here Carson uses pathos appeals that will make voters to reflect on whether they want to be free or have someone control their life. Next, Carson addresses the voter that how is difficult to lose the capacity to regulate own life. Then Carson continues to archive the desire goal by influences the voters with statements regarding Obamacare. Obamacare is “The worst thing that has happened to this nation since slavery, and it is, in a way, it is slavery in a way because it is making all the people subservient to the government, and it was never about health care. It was about control.” (CNSNews.com). Effectively with appeals of pathos Carson remind the people about slavery, which still cause angry and strong emotions among people. Additionally, Carson speaks “When someone take the most important thing that a you have, which is your health care, and you put that in the hands of government bureaucrats, I think you have done the wrong thing.” (CNSNews.com) with appeal to the logos Carson argument that people should be able to control their lives in full of depending on the government. Carson continues by making a declaration regards freedom and education to build credibility with the voters. Carson explains on the argument it is relying deeply upon other American common places: such as the family value, economic devotion, equal opportunities for all citizens, the importance of education, and much others common places. Carson effectually makes appeals to ethos to arguments concerns about freedom of speaking and expression in the United States. “It puts a muzzle on them.” (CNSNews.com). Then Carson emphasizes that people that believe in freedom must fight for it. Freedom believer thinks that people can lose almost everything, but never their freedom and should not give up easily either. The fact of the matter is that people have to work for freedom and must know that freedom is not free. People have to battle for freedom each day.
