Participating in sports during high school for some people is necessary. Having a passionate love & desire for athletics makes participating in sports much easier. If a person is uninterested in sports, they should not have to play them. Applying students to sports can also help them make friends.
Participating in sports in high school what everyone wants to do. Some people come into their freshman year of high school never playing sports. Forcing those students to play a sport can cause many problems: they could get injured, they could not like the sport, & they could end up leaving the school altogether. Forcing someone to play a sport that they do not like is difficult. When you try, that person is only going to just go through the motions if they are forced. Going through the motions can lead to hazardous outcomes, like injuries. If an individual gets hurt while playing a sport that they don't want to play, they could end up leaving the school because if they came back, they would have to play a sport.

Because students are enjoying thier high school experience, putting them into a sport they don't enjoy can hurt their experience. Every high school in the United States is different, however all encourage students to get involved. Most commonly, students decide to join sports. High school sports can cause profitable effects because students live healthier lives, achieve higher grades and learn life lessons.
More specifically, children are also increasingly pressured--again, usually by parents and coaches--to specialize in one sport and to play it year-round, often on several different teams (Perry). Now, if sports specialization is such a great idea, then why are kids being “pressured”? As stated before, sports specialization can result in severe injury or even retirement from sports all together. Evidently, parents would not want to risk their athlete’s entire athletic career just because of an overuse injury. Knowing this, a diversity in sports activities is the solution to the problem. Additionally, a specialization in sports can lead to the young athlete not experiencing a sport that he or she may truly enjoy in their life. If a parent already makes a child decide on a sport to play, how will the child know if that is the sport they truly want to participate in? As the child ages, they could realize that the sport they play now is not one that they love anymore, so they could just quit. Deciding at such a young age is not only a hasty decision, but also a terrible one. Finally, this specialization can also create social problems. If a child is already so competitively involved in a sport, then their social lives and relationships with friends are at risk. First of all high school sports are not beneficial because it puts too much stress on the kids because they want to make their parents happy and want to keep their grades up or if they don’t they could get cut from the team . So, considering that high school sports do give kids an opportunity to expand socially, keep them in shape, and healthy, an opportunity to make many friends, and a shot at getting a scholarship, and making it to the professional level in their sport. But long term, the negative effects are more in the sense it could damage a student permanently, from an academic level to a physiological level. Also, most of the positive things people would argue aren’t guaranteed to happen or isolate them from the negative effects. But when it comes to the negative side, a student would need to go through some of the stages, maybe not all, but for sure some. To sum it all up, high school sports are more negative on a student than positive, even though people tend to see only the positive things that can come from them.

Some schools force students to participate in organized school sports. However, I believe that schools should not make this a requirement. Some students may have medical conditions, family situations that don't allow them to participate in organized school sports, or they simply may not have the time.
I wanted to play sports all my life for my school but I never could because I loved school but I always had problems with my classes. Classes were difficult for me so I never got to play. The coaches wanted me to play because when it came down to sports they thought I was a excellent player. I believe that a student shouldn't have to be on the honor roll to play sports because it's just a sport it made to have fun, your not getting paid to keep up your grades last but not least you never know what a student is going through so you don't know if they can keep up being on the honor roll.
Finally I’m in middle school and I am ready to play school sports. But I can’t. I have to wait until next year. Sixth graders should be able to play middle school sports. Players can ride the bus to games, sixth graders will get better because they are practicing with older kids, and players will get better grades because they can’t be failing a class. Sixth graders should be included in middle school sports.
It will encourage students to try their best to accomplish superior grades. It opens their eyes in a different perspective on behavior as well as stronger scholastic peer relationships. It gives students activities excluding school work, because teenagers generally focus their mind on unacceptable actions. Parents commonly show passion along with appreciation when their child/children play a sport. They get to have a closer relationship and be elaborate with them more often than normal. Frequently, students do not care about their reputation or acknowledge the adults’ opinions on themselves; but in my opinion, playing sports and being mostly involved with their schools presents an improved character while in school and once they graduate. I was once told that “Sports do not build character. They reveal it.” Additionally, self-esteem in high school is hard to come by, occasionally sports help! Sports cause you to interact with other people and uplift you to do better. It presents a sharpened perspective on your schoolwork, career, future, and life altogether. In some cases, playing a sport can benefit you in an enhanced form. Scholarships can be a broad opportunity for valuable players with a good education on their shoulders. As well as, college recruitment can be another option. Money is hard to come by for college and if that seems to be a struggle for a student playing a sport can help tremendously. That
I have been involved with sports my whole life. I have been a student athlete since I was in fifth grade. I played softball, volleyball, and basketball. However, for awhile I was more of an athlete rather than a student. I could perform on the court, but not in the classroom. Not being able to perform in the classroom resulted in my parents removing me from any sport like activities until I was able to get my grades up. However, once I started to get better grades, they allowed me to continue playing sports until I started to veer off into the wrong direction again. When being a student athlete at any level, it is important that you keep the same level of motivation that you have on the court in the classroom. Although playing sports can be a thrill, a majority of student athletes do not play their sport for a career. In theory, it all comes down to getting good grades, getting a degree, and living a successful life.
Sports can help many at- risk youths. In order to participate in sports you need to be committed and willing to work hard. You also have to learn to respect others and accept that winning isn’t the only measure of success. Losing can build character as well. When youth participate in a sports they enjoy, they are less likely to engage in behaviors that are harmful or dangerous to themselves and others.
