Introduction:
Vitamin C is very famous for it's supposed effect on banishing the common cold, but is that a myth or is it medically proven? What about supplements? Are they even healthy for you?

A problem that we face with Vitamin C is that you have to have the right amount of it, like everything else, it has to be rationed and you have to consume the right amount in proportion to your size. It can have strong impacts on your body depending on which side of the scale it tips. For example, if you don’t have enough Vitamin C in your body, you can develop an illness called Scurvy, which results in soft, bleeding gums, bleeding under the skin and weakness. It can be deadly if not treated properly. It is very easy to treat because it is just a lack of Vitamin C, which can easily be found in citrus fruits, therefore, eating fruits and vegetables should help, but before that was discovered in 1932, a lot of sailors died because of this since on their boats/ships, they didn’t have access to fruit and vegetables.

I very good solution for this is Vitamin Supplements.
1. They’ll last much longer than Fresh Crop
2. You can take a multivitamin to make sure you have all the vitamins you need
3. You know that you have the right amount of each vitamin, not too much or too little

And what about those people who live in places where fresh foods aren’t even the freshest? Or you’re allergic to citrus fruits? What happens if you’re a crash dieter and you’re not allowed to eat the foods that you need to get Vitamin C?
Supplements are the answer.

All in all, I think that Vitamin C Supplements are good for now and then, but they cannot compare to the benefits of a fresh fruit or vegetable full of the Natural Vitamin that is obviously better for your body.

When you are taking a Vitamin C supplement that is not naturally synthesized, you are putting a man-made food inside your body, and the body was not made and didn’t evolve in a way that might accept that, so you might be putting yourself in danger. Always consult your doctor before you start taking any supplements, especially if you are already on medication.

If you feel like you need the supplements even though they are not necessary, it couldn’t hurt to try but make sure that your rations are in proportion to your body.
