Veteran's Day Forever Veterans. We can't begin to know what they've been through: the struggles, separations, and sacrifices. For that matter, it would be utterly impossible for us, civilians who have never experienced war, to even attempt to fully thank them for all they have done. However, even the smallest act of gratitude can mean so much to a veteran. With tiny steps of showing our thankfulness and appreciation, we can assure that our veterans are kept in our hearts forever. Often times we forget how important their sacrifice is to the well-being of our country. We take for granted our freedom, liberty, and justice, which are all due to what they have done. But not on Veteran's Day. Still, we must remember what Congressman Randy Neugebauer once expressed, "While only one day of the year is dedicated solely to honoring our veterans, Americans must never forget the sacrifices that many of our fellow countrymen have made to defend our country and protect our freedoms." …show more content…

It is not about the war or the violence in this imperfect world. On this day, we are to show our appreciation for the people who risk their lives for their beloved country. Most of us can't even imagine what profound sacrifices they make to protect our freedom. Our everyday lives and normal routines would be greatly disturbed constantly if it weren't for them. That is why we owe so much to them. It is our job to make sure that not a single one of our much appreciated veterans ever feels like what they did made no impact.
