Have you ever had a exotic pet? Do you think that you could take care of a wild animal? Do you think that anyone can? Why would you have an exotic animal in the first place? I believe that you should not let citizens be allowed to keep or own a exotic animal as a pet?
Do you know what a exotic animal is? The dictionary defines a exotic animal as a wild animal that is owned by someone in a different country that the animal is not originally from. The problem is that the animals are released into the wild when they get too big, and can lead into bigger problems with the enviroment they are adapted into. They affect the food chain because they are not originally from the habitat they are at now. Not only that but, they can prey on other animals that are endangered. Which will increase there percent of becoming extinct.

Or what about the living expenses? The Anchor text states that “owning a exotic pet is expensive, time consuming. And of course, it can be dangerous.” It also states in the fact that they grow up that “most people who own exotic pets find irresistable-and mangable-when they are small. But an adorable cub becomes a powerful adult soon enough. Many exotic animals are strong enough to be dangerous even without meaning to cause harm.” So why would you want to have a exotic animal that is a huge responsability for just food, water, and shelter? But that does not even compare to when they are six feet and two-hundred pounds. When your kid is four foot and eighty pounds. Is your child safe around that animal? I personally would not want my kid around that animal unless it is in a
After reading Wild Animals Aren’t Pets and Let People Own Exotic Animals, the question that asks, should exotic animals be considered pets is finally answered. Exotic animals should not be considered pets. These animals if not kept right are too dangerous to be a pet of anyone, on the other hand people believe the animals are not dangerous if kept with responsible private ownerships, and finally people aren’t only the ones getting hurt, the animals are too.
First and foremost, it has a large impact on the wild populations. Not all exotic pets are captive bred, meaning they were taken from the wild. This reduces population sizes and genetic variation (Bush et. al 2014). In fact, if the animals are in high enough demand, it can actually cause extinction. For instance, the Great Auk was once a very common species in Iceland and Canada. It was used for everything from meat to down pillows. When populations began to decline due to the
Exotic pets threaten the safety of the community for they pose potential risks of injury and fatality. Natural animal instincts and lack of proper care can trigger destructive behaviours of animals, injuring their owners or other community members. There has been a total of 543 human injuries and 75 deaths as a result of exotic pets, including 52 year old woman killed by a Bengali tiger (http://channel.nat......). These numbers illustrate the risk that exotic animals pose to owners and community members. Keith Gisser, an exotic reptile owner claims he's “not the kind of animal owner neighbours need to worry about”, yet Brian Johnson Gisser's neighbour says on of the reptile owner's snakes escaped into his backyard (www.wkyc.com....). Injury and fatalities are a risk, endangering the community when exotic animals are kept as pets which is yet another reason why owning them should be illegal.
Do you think that keeping exotic animals as pets should be legal? Well, I think that owning exotic animals as pets should be illegal. First, safety is a main concern for both the animals and for people. Secondly, it cost a very large amount of money to properly care for these animals; money people usually don’t have by themselves. Finally, it is against the law in many places to own these animals. Exotic animals should not be kept as pets.
So even though it is rare for them to attack, doesn’t mean it could happen to your exotic animal. Also, you need a lot of money and space to take care of that exotic animal that you probably don’t have. In conclusion, that exotic animal will grow up to be big and vicious, also it’s a wild animal with wild animal instincts and is very unpredictable and it could be spreading diseases or could cause someone an injury.
Exotic animals, such as lions, tigers, and bears, might seem like cute and cuddly pets at first, however, little do people know how dangerous and endangered these furry creatures truly are. In this case, exotic means coming from foreign countries all over the world. The demand for exotic animals in the United States and all across the globe is in very high demand. People take them from their natural habitats and put them in a cage for the rest of their lives. It is predicted that the demand will keep going up and animals will become more endangered, if nothing is done about it.
First off, why harm such a cute and innocent animal just to get the money you're getting
For thousands of years scientist have been performing vivisections on animals to find information on new chemicals, drugs, and vaccines. Vivisection is when scientist perform dissections among living animals mostly for the purpose of educating and retrieving information. Experimenting on animals has become the tool that has helped us comprehend the body functions of an animal and how a disease transforms the bodily functions, but over the years it’s caused animal rights activists to question the usefulness and the sincerity of using animals for this purpose. Although animal research has been helpful in the past, it is morally wrong in the sense that experimenting on animals is not the only way to collect information. There are other alternatives

Identifying the Problem: The problem to identify at hand is obvious; it’s the mistreatment of animals being used in the entertainment industry. Animals are ripped away from their natural habitats or bred in captivity to provide us humans with sources of entertainment. The article “Ten Fast Facts About Animals In Entertainment” explains that the majority of captivity-bred animals will not be returned to the wild. In fact, when a facility breeds too many animals, they are sometimes sold to laboratories, traveling shows, canned hunting facilities, or to private individuals (“Ten Fast Facts”). Private individuals, who inquire about wild animals, almost always lack the proper caregiving skills, and this leads to animals being neglected.
Any species which fall into the categories vulnerable, endangered, or critically endangered are considered to be at risk of extinction. Robert Redford said “I think the environment should be put in the category of our national security defense of our resource’s because it’s just as important as defense abroad otherwise what is there to defend?” People should all take the environment more seriously and protect the future for those to come. It’s our responsibility to ensure that the children to come may enjoy all of earth’s beauty, and not through old issues of National Geographic’s.
Taken from the only place you've ever known. Away from the only family you have. Kept in crates and cages to be sold. Removed from their home, exotic animals are put in yours for personal amusement. This act is ruinous an inhumane, it violates the basic rights of human and animals. Exotic animals have a rightful place in their natural habitats, not as pets, because they endanger the community, become sick, and their owners abandon them.
Exotic animals have been in circuses for centuries. They've been people's major source of entertainment in circuses. Without exotic animals, circuses wouldn't be as popular as they are. Many people enjoy these animal's performances, but don't think about the physical and mental abuse these animals have to endure. Exotic animals in circuses are cases of animal cruelty that shouldn't be condoned. Exotic animals are exposed to a major amount of physical stress. They are confined in small cages for days at a time. A circus travels in small vehicles. They confine large animals into small cages as they travel through the states. They aren't in their natural habitats. They are taken out of the wild and put into confined spaces. They are forced
Visualize this: Someone is trying to rob your house. If you had a guard dog, that could help, since guard dogs are supposed to protect you. What about a three-hundred pound, ferocious, carnivorous, Siberian Tiger? Too bad they are illegal in most states. I believe that exotic animals should be allowed as pets because some exotic animals are naturally quiet, most of them are hypoallergenic, which means that they do not cause allergic reactions, and they live longer than common household animals.
