Legislation should be created regarding the lack of privacy that are caused by UAVs. One restriction that needs to be implemented is the "line of sight rule," which makes it so that drone operators keep the unmanned aircraft within eye shot at all times. [10] The reason for why placing this line-of-site rule makes it so that there are less midair collisions, and since many governments are worried about drones flying around near airplanes it would make it safer. With this rule it would make it so that the person flying the drone has to be able to see it during the whole flight and can fly only during the day, though twilight flying is allowed if the drone has anti-collision lights. In addition the legislation will make it so that drones cannot …show more content…

When protecting certain areas a DroneShield should be used which uses acoustic technology to detect incoming drones from up to 150 yards and then send emails or text messages to a monitoring service if a drone, even a small one, approaches a specified off limits area. Prisons have started using this device to stop drones from delivering certain goods such as cell phones or drugs to prisoners. Drone Shields used in different areas were used as a tester proved that it could also operate in a noisier, less stable environment when it deployed detectors at the recent Boston Marathon. This technology will work because the Radio Frequency (RF) scanners provide the most cost-effective solution for detecting, tracking and identifying drones over a wide area. They have the ability to scan the electromagnetic spectrum and identify the specific transmissions from commercial drones. As long as the drone is transmitting a signal, such as live video or telemetry then the RF scanner will detect it. Also if the drone’s operator is within our sensor network we have the ability to identify and track them by the scanner so security services and law enforcement officials can
