There are many things in this world that I just don't understand. The absolute first thing on the list is the amount of cynical people who don't believe in an aspect in life that is important to our survival. Some people don't believe in love! What's even worse is the people who don't believe in the concept of teen love, or love at first sight. Love is all around! Everyday, girls are trying to find their prince charming, or knight in shining armor. Everywhere around you, in stories, and in movies, there is love. The facts are right here; love, especially teen love, should be considered the best type of love out there.
I mean, think about it; high school is when it counts. You're trapped in basically, a jail for seven hours a day; what better way to kill time than to scope out the cute boys? Who cares about science class, unless we're learning about the chemistry of love? That is what we should really be learning; how to get the boy 101. It's the only majorly important thing in our life.
And in English class; Who really wants to learn about the boys making creatures or k...
As most would likely find it common, all three interviewees had their greatest loss pertaining to death. Susan, Liz, and Dave all went through a period of struggle when losing someone they loved dearly. Susan lost her father, Liz lost her brother, and Dave lost his brother. With each interview being very distinct from one another, specific parts of each interview stood out from the rest. For instance, in Susan's interview, the words she used to describe what she lost stood out. There was an intense amount of emotion when she replied to the question with "how do you describe when you lose a dad" and then used the words "unconditional love". Going into Liz's interview, there were numerous things that stood out to me. First and foremost, was the
...ause of their own free will. The theme of love is widely portrayed in the world. Love matters because it is what ties two people together through commitment and pain. However, there are those who pervert the idea of love and treat it as if it is filled with lust and pleasure-seeking opportunities. In society, young and reckless people “go out” with each other because they are desperate for excitement in their lives. Those who “go out” fail to realize that they shouldn’t be so committed to one another. Therefore, it is a waste of time at such a young age. Those who do should be paying attention to reality instead of their own fantasy. If adolescent people have love, it is only a hindrance from being who they want to be. In conclusion, love influences people to behave irrationally and to take chances that would otherwise seem irresponsible in the eyes of the mature.
While it is true that most teenagers are impulsive and rash in their decisions, if determined enough, a teenager is capable of making well-reasoned and mature choices. This ability to think through options and remain dedicated and loyal to an idea or person allows for some teenagers to not only fall in love, but maintain a mature relationship. As mentioned in the article, “The Teenage Brain” by Amanda Leigh Mascarelli,
1.06 million is the number of abortions took place in the U.S in 2011 according to Guttmacher Institute. This is not a small number in compare to the whole population of the world. 1.06 million abortions equals to more than 1.06 million babies have been killed before they even have full bodies. That’s a very sad statistic to look at. And what is the main reason why this sad number exists? We could blame poor education in sex for this controversy issue. Lack of knowledge about sex and how to have safe sex could lead to pregnancy and the outburst of sexual transmitted diseases. If the pregnancy was unexpected, the mother will get abortion; which is not only pitiful to the unborn child but also very
In recent years, smoking has started to take over the lives of many teenagers. The number of teenagers smoking has increased dramatically in the last several years. This is a major problem because smoking can lead to sickness and major diseases that can lead to death. Teens tend to participate in this while out of the presence of an adult figure. Although teens should not be smoking in the first place, an adult figure should be around to help insure that their children are doing the right things, even when they are behind closed doors with their peers. Teenagers as they mature become a model for younger children and when they set the example of smoking can ruin their good image to the children that look up to them.
Every person in the world is not going to be crazy about the idea of marriage. Still, for the most part, the majority of people want to be married at some point in time of their life. For a person to fall in love with somebody and commit themselves for the rest of their lives is absolutely outstanding. Even though the majority of marriages is going to be positive, marriage can likewise have its downfalls at times too. No marriage is going to be perfect, but it is the time and determination two people put into the marriage that is going to allow the journey to be worthwhile. In most marriages, the positives will unquestionably outweigh the negatives. In marriage, people have to stop thinking about only themselves and think about another human

Individuals involved in romantic relationships often send messages to one another with the intent to convey honest information about their romantic partner. Literature on this topic has already been published, but researcher Shuangyue Zhang found gaps and unanswered questions in this previously conducted research that he wanted to resolve. In 2009, Zhang began researching the hurtful, but honest messages that are sent and received in romantic relationships with two overlapping goals in mind. He wanted to uncover the “motivations and relational consequences of honest, but hurtful evaluated messages,” while simultaneously investigating “the relational satisfaction, sex of the respondent and message types” (Zhang, 2009). With his purpose in place, Zhang developed a hypothesis for his research that stated, “Recipients will interpret honest, but hurtful messages more negatively than will senders” (Zhang 2009). The subjects of Zhang’s study, 515 undergraduate students (32.4% male and 77.6% female) from Midwestern University, were given one of two different questionnaires, “one sender questionnaire and one receiver questionnaire,” and asked to “reconstruct a conversation” that they took part in that involved an honest, but hurtful evaluative message (Zhang, 2009). Participants were then given a scale and asked to rate the hurtfulness, emotional pain and alleged honesty of the message that they recoded (Zhang, 2009). At the conclusion of the study, Zhang measured and assessed the honesty motives, perceived intent and relational ramifications of the messages (Zhang, 2009). The study effectively conducted by Shuangyue Zhang in 2009 not only yielded findings in support of the hypothesis, but also revealed other findings. These other findings...
Many people have different perspectives when it comes to the topic of love. The word love has been tossed around by everybody and not very many people really understand the true meaning of love. There are some exceptions, but I think this is especially true for teenagers and young adults. I might be one of those people who do not fully understand the topic of love, but I hope to better understand the topic of love and its true meaning is this course.
The glamorous side of sex is everywhere; music, tv shows, movies and social media. To a mature adult, it is easy to ignore the sexual messages in those outlets. However, to a teenager, going through mental and physical changes and peer pressure, it is extremely easy to fall for what is shown to “cool.” Everyone has fallen for half truths to be cool in their teenage life. It just so happens that teen pregnancies and STDs are not one of those things that one can simply walk away from. Babies and STDs leave a lasting effect on everyone involved. The National Conference of State Legislatures states:
On average, of all high school romances, only an estimated eight to 11 percent result in matrimony (WikiAnswers 1). To me, this renders those useless relationships, the other eighty-nine to ninety-two percent, just passing time. From these statistics, it would appear romance in high school is not only stressful, but also relatively useless. Rather than devoting large amounts of time to one person, high school students should be out with a group of friends, having fun and doing whatever it is teens do. This brings up another concern for high school relationships: time.
Being a teenager isn’t easy. You have a lot of things on your mind, a lot of things to worry about, a lot of things to carry and when I mean carry, I mean both physically and mentally. During the 17 years of my life that I have lived so far, I believe that I have never carried this much before. Part of it I think is because it’s senior year. Actually I think that 's the biggest reason why I feel so much pressure on my shoulders. I’m pretty sure that everyone can agree on this, especially if you’ve been through it before. I’m not talking to the adults of course because I know your lives are difficult and what not, but I’m mostly talking to the teens who are currently going through the same stage of life that I’m in right now. Now I’m not saying my life is difficult in any means because I know that I
Love is a universal feeling. No one has never felt love and everyone has endured sacrifices of their own. Love always has sacrifices and are required if you love someone or something. There are many sacrifices that can show affection and care that have positive externalities such as, giving up luxuries, personal goals or even physical sacrifices.
We all fall in love at some point in our lives whether it be a passion, faith, or another person. Falling in love is a natural human behavior. It ensures the continuance of the human race through reproduction. Love is often considered a mystery because of its unexplainable feelings. It is the personal and affectionate relationship between two people. Researchers have discovered the biological reasons behind falling in love. The brain controls the signals that release chemicals and hormones in your body to give that rush that love brings.
Education gives a new and refined life to human beings. It enhances thinking and reasoning power, thereby producing good and responsible citizens which in turn contribute to the development of country. Amongst all the stages of education, right from play school to university education, the senior secondary stage of education is the most important, because it is the time when the foundation for future education is laid. It is a pivotal period for the multifaceted evolution of a child. Education provides the opportunity for growth and development. Secondary education acts as a link between primary education and university education. Anxiety plays an important role at secondary
