Us as human beings tend to think that we know a lot about ourselves. For the most part we do, but there are some things that we may not have paid attention too. That is why you can now take personality test to learn more about yourself. Yes, these test are really helpful with that and other things like: how you do certain things or the way that you think. For example, it helps with determining the type of letter than you maybe and with letting you know if you are in the position now to lead. These type of test are really helpful and can be very beneficial. What About Me? Personality Insights The personality insight section was the section where I got to learn more about my personality. I learned in the previous exercises before that I have a INFJ personality type. Meaning that I am an introvert, intuitive, deal more with my feelings, and judging. I also learned that I am trusting and that one of the things that I really value is harmony. I found that the “Harmony trait was defined as both the peace within one’s mind and conflict avoidance in interpersonal relationships” (Howard &Welbourne). With being an introvert I like to did things in a purposeful way, so I tend to pursue goals a little at a time. Although I am an introvert, I still tend to keep an open mind, take in new interest, and do new things. Another thing that I …show more content…
This is correct because I really do enjoy my current job. Also with that, I get along well with my coworkers. On how heavy is my workload, it is not heavy at all. This is something that I do not have a problem with at work at all. My job motivating potential is low according to my score, which actually match me. If some things at my job were a little different then I would probably be more motivated. My score for wanting an enriched job is around the normal average scores. That means that I am in between or wanting and not wanting an enriched
By being an INTP, I have interpreted why some things work in my favor. Being a perceiver allows me to embrace change while keeping any ill-thoughts (regarding changes I do not agree with) to myself. This personality blend, also, allows me to participate in group settings when brainstorming is needed, and having a lower preference in introversion grants me just enough patience to play along with the extroverts to complete the task. When putting two letters together, I have better understood my temperament. “Temperament arises from the regulation of arousal and emotion reliably producing characteristic, habitual responses to experience”, and mine is Intuitive Thinking (NT), so I create many options in my head (Blandin, K., February 2013, para. 4). On the other hand, my personality leads me to situations where I make irrational decisions because I’m not granted enough time to think everything through. As viewed in the presentation, “Lesson 1-Worldview perspective on organizational behavior”, understanding my personality typology, others’ typology, and organizational behavior will allow the workplace to be more efficient because we have a better understanding of ourselves and how we can work together. I’m now able to function in the team because I understand what I offer, how it is useful, and my obligation to the group (Fischer, K. slide
First, by reading over my results it was very helpful to understand why I like putting others before myself, defending those who need it, and always serving others because I am the defender and that’s what 13% of the people around the world do. It is also helpful to understand why I am shyer and introverted because I put others before myself and I serve them. I also felt that by knowing what I am stronger at or weaker of so I know how to approach any situation in the future. The one thing that I found to be least helpful is that even though I know my negative traits, it will be very hard to break those habits because those qualities define who I am. Some of my most accurate responses were supportive, reliable, being a great family man and husband, caring, imaginative and observant, loyal, enthusiastic, hardworking and an admirable employee. Altogether, there was nothing that does not define who I am. These results for me were actually highly
The Big Five Personality Test provided an interesting account of my personality. Although the majority of the results were accurate, I was surprised by two of the outcomes. According to this test, I am a closed-minded, unmethodical, social butterfly that is well-mannered towards others and composed under pressure (John, 2009). First, the results were completely accurate as I am extremely extroverted. I never meet a stranger, and I carry on conversations with anyone. From the custodian, to the cashier, to a random person on the street, it gives me a great sense of fulfillment to engage in dialogue with others from all walks of life. Second, I agree that I am polite and supportive, especially with family and friends. Overall, I try to always

I would advise everybody to do the same,
The Myers and Briggs personality test is unlike many of the personality tests you will find randomly online because it was designed to examine the ways in which you focus on the world and make everyday decisions. After taking this test myself I have found out a few things about myself that I did not really notice before. According to the Myers-Briggs test my personality type is INFP, which stands for Introversion, iNtuition, Feeling, and Perceiving. At the start of this test I had no idea that I was considered an introvert because as far as I can remember I have always loved being around people and never really thought about things before acting, which is the exact personality of an extrovert. The end of this personality test has a section that describes the different traits of those under that category and as for what it says about me I do feel that it matches some of my traits to a tee, but at the same time I feel like there are a few traits that are a bit off. Perso...
These types of personality assessments are useful because they can help us see how each of us are different and how we each fit into our roles and responsibilities. Life would not be nearly as functional if we were all the same, and personality assessments can be useful by showing us how we all can work together and see our strengths and weaknesses in a way that can help us improve them.
I found the results of my self-assessments to be a very insightful and accurate description of myself. The results of the learning styles test and the Keirsey Temperament Sorter II are very valuable for examining my personality traits and learning style and making improvements as needed.
Ultimately, a human’s personality is much more detailed than a few adjectives. Additionally, one’s profession should never be based on what a quiz suggests, as there are numerous attributes that a test cannot point out. Consider if you will that although the test did not reveal that I hold a strength of feeling, when it comes to children, my heart is touched and more inclined to offer an emotional response. Thus, in my opinion, if tests such as these were used to determine what job one should hold, more individual would remain jobless, be it due to the denial of a position or from a lack of interest for positions that appear to be fitting according to test results. This being said, if this determined career eligibility, the world would be even more chaotic than it is currently, with much more dissatisfaction within the workplace. Ultimately, I know in my case, I would not be as pleased and driven to accomplish my goals if I were under the impression that my personality results could cause me denial of the career I am
In the vast and detailed world of psychology, there are a variety of different tests you can participate in. For example, you can participate in aptitude, verbal or numerical reasoning, and psychometric tests. These tests assess a variety of different situations such as: behaviors, abilities and intelligence. Personality tests, a common and favored test, measure things such as: behavioral style, opinions, motivators, personal values and career interests. Most often, people complain or disagree with the score of some areas on their personality test; however, there are no right or wrong answers.
After taking the online personality test I learned that I am an INTJ personality. Consequently, this was not a big surprise for me because I had already taken a similar test in my psychology class and ended up with the same result. I did not learn how accurate the test was the first time since I did not do further analysis on the exact meaning of my personality type. The 16 personality type’s website de...
The test overall did a fairly accurate job in measuring the various factors of my personality. I only disagreed with two of the ten factors, which I merely saw as an overt measurement. The test appeared to be valid for the most part pertaining to my case, and since validity correlates with reliability, its reliability appears to be relatively strong. However this is merely an opinion based on my interpretation of my own personality. It could be equally likely that other people may get many scores in which they totally disagree on. Since this test was written 20 years ago the question of re-standardization also comes into play. As for cross-cultural differences discussed in the introduction, to me it is unclear whether or not the questions are common to all cultures and backgrounds, yet among English speakers the questions seemed well structured. While no test is perfect, the 16 PF does seem to have relatively high reliability and validity, making it ideal in measuring personality traits.
My personality type is Extroverted, intuitive, feeling, perceptive or ENFP. According to the description in the exercise, ENFP's are warm, enthusiastic and live their outer life more with intuition and their inner more with feeling. This assessment is consistent with the results that I received in part I of the exercise. I am an extroverted person who enjoys being around and working with people.
Personality tests tell a person a lot about why a person is who they have become. I believe that these test if taken truthfully can identify deficiencies that individuals can work on to benefit not only themselves but others in the organizations that they work in. Some models state that it is in human nature and chemicals that decided how a person acts but I believe it is based on life experiences and a personality can change as long as a person knows the deficiencies and works to change them.
