After completing the personal values and awareness test, commitment and trust were the two personal values I highly value. I agree with the results currently, because I am striving to have a successful future by being committed to school. As well as being committed, I am also trusting in myself to fulfill my dreams. I believe the two values reflect how I like to be effectives in my endeavors and ensure I am able to spend quality time on my personal pursuits. My next highest personal values were accountability, balance(home/work), and independence. These values are a good reflection of me at this time. The three values show I take ownership of my actions and demonstrate dedication in my endeavors so that others know they can depend upon me.
Everyone has their own personal values that the gain throughout their lives. Some of these values are passed down through the different generations of their family. Values can change over time and some people learn more values as they grow up. I personally have gained a range of different values in the past eighteen years of my life. My own values include: respect, honesty, empathy and trust. I gained the value of respect through my parents as I was always told to show respect to others and they would then show me respect back. When I was really young I had to respect other people’s things and their feelings. Through my parents I was brought up to believe that it is always better to be honest and tell the truth about everything. I feel that

There are four values that form the foundation of this code. These values are responsibility, respect, fairness, and honesty (PMI, 2016, p.2). These are the underlying international and global values of the PMI’s code.

The values that impact my decisions include: accountability, truth, honor, spirituality, reliability, kindness, ambition, family and compassion just to name a few. Values remind me of ethics and morals, necessary in any walk of life and imperative in the work place. These concepts are guidelines in which employees need to follow to be successful. “Values represent basic convictions that a specific mode of conduct or end-state of existence is personally or socially preferable to an opposite or converse mode of conduct or end-state of existence.” (Robbins, 136) Integrity, courage, service, wisdom, respect and goal setting are a few of the values that are most crucial to me and what I hope to achieve within any work place setting. Values should be lived every day in the work place and should exemplify the
The values that I hold most dearly are honesty and courage, I have upheld these values for the past 26 years of my life, and they are what I stake my pride on. Thinking back, I can thank my mom for instilling honesty within me. Whether it was punishing me for lying, or pointing out the bad things that happened to those that lied, she built the foundation for this value. When I think of honesty I don’t just hold this value to the big ticket items, it encompasses the little ones as well. Being honest on my taxes is just as important as telling the DMV my actual weight.
These are values that I think will make life better and easier for a person.
