The reason why I decided that music is my favourite media product because the message and/or story is usually expressed so well for a video under 5 min which is something that makes it better than a television series or film. The advantage of having a short video over a long video is that there will be more people watching it because it won’t take up most of their time and more people would have access to the video since it is something that can be watched for free. Music videos are also something that people can repeat over and over because they may like the music, the video content, or both the music and video combined. With all these factors, it inspires me in the future to hopefully make a video which can deliver something huge in a short duration of time that everyone can enjoy and be able to take something from it. Although music videos are my favourite type of media product, I also hope that I will be able to produce a film or tv series that can have a huge impact on viewers where it could create something that can connect people and create its own community spread more positivity and connections between one another. One factor that are mainly seen in Korean music videos are the cost of these productions which is extraordinary compared to what the cost of production is for some of the music videos in North America. I recently researched how much Korean music companies spend on a single music video and many sites have said that they spend around a million where as Americans spend around a few hundred thousand for a single music video. Although Korean music videos cost a lot of money to produce, they are most of the time more enjoyable to watch than American videos since they have many details and scenes to deliver their music and storyline. In The Important Places filmmaker choose awesome music because it gives viewer to feel in the best mood while watching. Similarly, Contributing Writer for Film Rejects, Allison, says “Music is an important part of any film, but with documentaries, the music becomes all the more important because it is reflecting real world issues and not just a works of fiction.” I agree with Allison, because music is the one media to draw viewers’ feeling, which touches the soul as well as capable of bonding people together from different background, and cultural heritage. This make music is key in the filmmaker, specially documentaries film to draw millions of people
Music videos are apart of humans visual language, they are an artform and although they are arguably on the decline, music videos are an important factor of an artists career. Due to new technologies music is consumed on the internet and forgotten about daily. So from a record label point of view, an artist needs something bigger than an a song to get noticed; artists need strong creative visuals to give them a substantial competitive advantage over their peers (Boardman). A music video takes the artists voice and gives them a visual language to connect to their listener, and gives the listener a chance to connect with a wider audience. There are risks associated with music videos, they can either turn out really good and be a cultural phenomenon
Music is a large consumption of my daily life and the artists I listen to have shaped me in some way. Listening to music is one of my most time
If one were to look back into the world’s history, one would find that an important and consistent element is the world of music. Music has presented itself in various forms throughout its spread and through our identification of its magical realm, people have been fortunate enough to come across a means of relation. Whether it is blues and reggae or rap and pop rock, there is music out there for everyone. Music can serve as a stabilizer for some, a relaxant to others, and to many a form of inspiration.

Production of music videos is not only an artifact acted by artists but also several pieces linked together as a marketing strategy to increase sale of their song album. According to Foss’s definition of visual rhetoric, when viewing JLo’s music video “I Luh Ya Papi” as performing of her excellent vocal and brilliant dance in different scenes, the music video is an communicative artifact. The music video of “I Luh Ya Papi” is human-created,symbolic action with a purpose to communicate with viewers. Thus, the video meets the three requirements of being a artifact.
Music videos originally served the purpose of creating an outlet through which artists could generate publicity for their work, broaden their popular appeal, and reach wider audiences with interesting audio-visual content (Berry & Shelton, 1999). Over the years, the visual imagery in music videos has increasingly become as significant as the music it represents, as music videos have now become major outlets for propagating views and stereotypes that influence popular culture.
Music is one of the most fantastical forms of entertainment. Its history stretches all the way from the primitive polyrhythmic drums in Africa to our modern day pop music we listen to on our phones. It has the ability to amaze us, to capture our attention and leave us in awe. It soothes the hearts of billions, and it is so deeply rooted in my life that it has touched my heart as well. Everyday I walk to the beat of the song stuck in my head and hum along to the melody. For me, to listen to music be lifted into the air by the hands of your imagination and float around for a while. You forget about your worries, your troubles and find peace within the sound. Every chapter in my life is attached with a song. Every time I listen to a certain song, thoughts of my past come flooding back

In an era where all of the world’s information is readily available at our fingertips, it is difficult to imagine what life was like before the Internet. Today. people get anxiety attacks at the thought of a slow wireless connection. God forbid a webpage takes five minutes to load; we are left with rage and disappointment. Is the Internet making people stupid? Despite the fact that research on the detrimental effects of the Internet is still young, there is no doubt that the Internet is changing the way one thinks, but it is not necessarily making one “dumber.” What it is doing, however, is bringing to light some bad habits that are affecting the way we process information. The Internet is making us lazy and unable to memorize information.
Korean pop culture is starting to make a big impact around the world especially around the U.S. with their catchy tunes, style and how amazing the idols look and dance. Everyone believes that these idols are living the life of luxury and making money, but they are not the same as our celebrities out in the U.S. It is known to very few people that Korean artists are living under slave like contracts, that tie them into long exclusive deals with little control or financial award. These idols have to keep up a image that was given to them to better the Korean image to people around the world.
Television is also a very effective way for artist to get their albums sold. Not only do people get to listen to the music, but they also get to see a video of the musicians. People are known to have short attention spans, so sometimes people don’t listen to a whole song on the radio, but if there is visualization too it is more likely they will concentrate on the video. If a person concentrates on the song they are more likely to actually enjoy the song. Music videos are more effective for this reason than just hearing a song on the radio. While listening to the radio a person is usually doing others things, such as driving, talking with friends, and working. All of that person’s concentration ...
