The successful practice of dentistry requires mastery and balance of both medical and artistic skills. My patients have always reminded me of how essential this harmony in alleviating the pain and suffering of others. Reminiscing back to my final year of dental school, I can distinctly remember a patient need of complete dentures. The procedure was standard, but the trust that the patient had in me was unforgettable. He was noticeably grateful for his improved appearance, which has help him find his self-confidence and allow him to enjoy life without having to feel embarrassed about his teeth. With my help, his life changed in numerous ways and that is what I want to keep doing in the future.

I spent over a year shadowing in an American Dental Clinic. Dr. Gregory C. Frese, Chief Dentist at Family and Implant Dentistry in Cincinnati, OH has become my role model of U.S. dental practice. I admire him for his dedication towards his patients and their needs. That is what I hope to accomplish in the near future. Also, I observed intense procedures including cosmetic, orthodontic and surgical at Family and Implant Dentistry. While working with the clinical staff, I was responsible for taking X-rays and assisted with daily clinical duties namely instrument sterilization and administration. Thanks to that experience, I realized that working in the clinical setting is as important as the getting engaged in doing community service. To become an exceptional dentist, it is equally important to maintain the community ties in the society.
Concurrently, I was elected as the president of the Jain Center of Cincinnati. I conducted health fairs and other community outreach programs that educate and provide valuable resources to people. I also worked closely with NorthEast Emergency Distribution Services (NEEDS) program to provide canned food for under-fortunate people. This position allowed me to remain connected to the field of healthcare, while interacting with local community members, and familiarizing myself with the U.S healthcare systems.
