When I turned 7 I got my first bike. It was a matte black bike that was a little too big for me, but I managed. At the time, I had never rode a bike before, and i didn’t know how. But my 7 year old self was determined to learn how. I took the bike outside and my dad helped me on. I got on the bike and started to wobble back and forth. My dad caught me just before I fell into a not so comfortable pile of rocky sand. I began to pedal with my dad holding the back seat to keep me balanced. At the time I didn’t know that he was the reason I didn’t fall. I told him to let go with confidence. The second he let go, I fell sideways and had a mouthful of dirt. I got back up, a little scared to get back on but i didn’t back down. I tried again this time …show more content…
It was the summer going in to my 9th grade year. We had games scheduled all summer, but the freshmen were all mixed with the older kids to play jv teams . Finally, in the middle of the summer we had our first all freshmen game with just freshmen on our team. We played La Quinta high schools freshman team and we were all nervous. In the 4th quarter the score was barely 18-24. It was a very low scoring game and we had all given up that point. I was moved to the 1 man, which is point guard. I got the ball and ran up the court. I drove in and scored 2 points. Right after that we stopped them and I ran before they could set up their defense and scored another 2. For about 2 minutes nothing happened but I got very tired. I was drenching in sweat. Although I was very tired i kept pushing. I brought the ball down the court drove in and missed a layup, but we got the rebound and i made a jump shot. With a minute left I was gassed and wheezing. I ran up the court and score one final lay up. The score was all tied up . The other 4 starters came back in and my friend jevin ended up making a game winning free throw. The small crowd that there was road and were all yelling and
Have you ever rode a dirtbike? I have my dad got it for me on my 9th b-day. After receiving this dirt bike, I now ride it all over the place. It has become apart of my life!
My senior year of baseball was quickly coming to an end. I knew the only games we had left were the playoff games. It was the first round of the state playoffs. We were the fourth seed, so we had to play a number one seed. I knew it was going to put our team to the test, but I knew we had a chance to beat them. We had a good last practice before game day, and I felt confident in my team and felt like we were ready for the game.
I love riding four wheelers. I also love to adventure so I guess you could say my character trait is being adventurous. I’ve been riding my whole life, you think I’m kidding but my mom even rode four wheelers when she was pregnant with me so yeah. I got my very first four wheeler when I was three and I rode it till I was nine, but then I wanted to ride with the big boys or girls or whatever. When I was ten I got Yamaha blaster two hundred. It was my first manual transmission four wheeler. It was also a fixer upper, so I restored it to original condition and learned valuable knowledge along the way. So now I know a lot about four wheelers. When I got done fixing it it was a lot better than before. So I figured I was ready to learn how ride a
When i Was at the mosque outside on the court while i was playing a 3 on 3 basketball game. And the teams was me, bosh and Salah vs Abu, Sunny and Musa. We started to play, and my team was down by 8 points. So i was kind of mad at my team that we was down by so much. So i told them let me take over and try to get us back in the game. So they let me take over and we went on a 7-0 run and out of nowhere we was only down by one point. Then we made a turn over, then they got the ball and they passed it to abdi. And abdi got through his defender and bosh stepped up and tried to block his shot but he head faked bosh and i step and try to block his shot and i jumped up tried to block his shot and my knee cap moved out of
I won the tip. The game is now under way. I remember getting the ball in the post and backing my defender down, I faked to the right and went up with my left hand! Bam and one the basket counts. The ref blows his whistle because of the foul. Now i 'm at the freethrow line and I sink it. Nice way to start the game right off the bat. As the game went on I was finding out none of my teammates showed up prepared… Basketball is a game of runs. Saint Francis was on a run the whole game, they are known for their three point shooting and they were shooting the lights out. It was a very chippy game I seem to be making most my shots. I look up and the scoreboard says i 'm the leading scorer with seventeen points. Were starting to get on a run. My teammate passes to me, i 'm in the corner for a three and I make it. Then we get a quick steal and we make another
It was 95 to 94 10 seconds left in the fourth quarter I had the ball in my hand while
Basketball is a big part of my life, one year ago in tournament final game two of our best players were hurt and the team was relying on me. With the time winding down on the clock we were down 8 points. Somehow I got our deficit down to two points with 30 seconds left, after an intense defensive stop 10 seconds remained on the clock; our coach called a timeout. A play was drawn up for me to take the shot. Mitchell inbounded the ball to me as I came off of a screen, I had an some-what wide open shot, I took the shot, you could hear the crowd go silent as the ball left my hand and headed towards the basketball. It felt like everything was going slow motion, the ball was getting closer and closer to the hoop and I…….missed it. The buzzer sounded
Life begins at the end of one’s comfort zone. It seems normal that most people would grow up and already have learned how to ride a bike; that there are parents who took the time out of their day to help their child develop a common skill. However, that was not the case here. One of my closest friends, never learned how to ride a bike until he was 12. I was willing to accept the challenge to teach him.
Why I Enjoy Riding Dirt Bikes Some people may not be aware of it, but motocross is the most physically demanding sport out there. Anyone else that does ride will completely agree with that statement, but it is also something that people, and I, enjoy very much. It is a good way to get exercise and to hang out with your friends. My essay is about something I enjoy doing, riding dirt bikes. The bike I ride is a 1992 Honda CR 250.
As we progress forward in life, we notice that things change whether we want them to or not. Not all changes in life are good, but, not all changes in life are bad either. Over the span of the ten months I’ve owned my car, a lot has changed although a lot has stayed the exact same. From tiny scratches and dings on the bumper to ordering custom made parts from overseas, my car has changed a lot, yet is very far from its final form.
Well, that time arrived when Dad was taking me, and nothing was going to hold me back. I watched Dad approach me as he returned from a blue and white hire tent with a long (well what seemed long at the time), bright yellow foam board. It had a small white fin sticking out its rear. We stayed shallow and like any impatient 5 year old I began to suffer from frustration as I continuously nose dived into the sand at my efforts to stand up.
I remember my first bike. It was all I wanted that year. It was a Bratz lowrider with purple tassels on the handlebars, a purple banana suede seat, and huge wheels. When I got rid of my old baby bike and training wheels to move on to a “big girl bike”, I quickly learned that this was going to be extremely challenging. As I began to pedal, my handle bars wobbled, and the direction of the bike went off of the sidewalk.
I was only ten years old when I began learning how to ride a bike which wasn’t easy for me but got the hang of like any other person would. My family members were annoyed of me constantly asking for someone to teach me. I wanted my own bike just like my sisters and be able to ride along with them and not bother with their rude remarks of not being able to ride a bike. So my father decided to help me learn in front of my building in the summer until I was able to ride on my own. My father's reason for teaching was for us to spend more quality time together since he was always working. It took me three weeks to learn due to the small accident I had which help me learn a valuable lesson.
We threw the bike in the bed of the truck, and it was time to go home. I couldn’t wait to do this tomorrow. The next day, I started it off with crashing hard, and it wasn’t really a big deal to me. Sure, I bawled from my cuts and scrapes,
object. He added the seat and the pedals. Last so that I would not have any
