On June 9, 2018 at approximately 1556 hours, I responded to the Walmart located at 8701 US HWY 19 Port Richey, FL in reference to a W/F in the store who had previously been issued a trespass warning. Upon my arrival, I made contact with Walmart Loss Prevention Associate Marion Edwards and Walmart Loss Prevention Associate Steven Uliano. Walmart Loss Prevention advised there was W/F at the customer service counter attempting to make a return using the Florida identification card of Tiffany Marie Arnold. I conducted a PRPD records check through dispatch, which confirmed Tiffany had been issued a trespass warning from the property on March 29, 2018. I traveled to the customer service counter with Walmart Loss Prevention and was directed towards a W/F at the counter. I approached the W/F and identified myself as a Port Richey Police Officer. I was wearing my issued uniform with the word police in several locations and a Port Richey Police badge insignia displayed on my chest. I grabbed ahold of the W/F’s right wrist and advised her she was going to be detained for trespass after warning. The W/F advised she was not Tiffany and stated she had never been trespassed from the store. I advised her she was using Tiffany’s identification and I was going to detain her in handcuffs until I identified her. I gave her several lawful commands …show more content…
to place her hands behind her back, which she ignored. The W/F again stated she did not nothing wrong and I advised her she was being detained for trespass after warning she advised she was not Tiffany and I advised her I would figure it out after she was in handcuffs.
The W/F then pulled away and attempted to flee on foot, but was unable to get away. I grabbed ahold of her and she attempted to overpower me to escape. I sprawled out and placed the W/F on the ground. She was then placed into handcuffs with the assistance of arriving Officer D. Peal (9003). The W/F repeatedly advised her name was Allison Sager and advised she had attempted to run because she had done nothing
wrong. The W/F was read Miranda from an agency issued card by Officer D. Peal in my presence. The W/F continued to provide the name of Allison Sager, but advised she had attempted to flee because she was returning merchandise (vacuum) to the store for a refund. She advised the merchandise had been stolen from a different Walmart and was given to her to return by Tiffany Arnold. The W/F advised Tiffany had given her the Florida identification card and had told her to use it to return the stolen merchandise. Dispatch was unable to find a record for Allison Sager and the W/F was advised we knew she was lying to law enforcement. The W/F then claimed to not know her social security number, after a couple more attempts the W/F finally admitted her name was Allison Jennifer Kurasz. Allison advised she had attempted to flee because she had an active misdemeanor warrant. Allison was turned over to the custody of SGT J. Cox (9033) for further investigation. Officer H. Hartmann

On September 18, 2015, I called Ms. Ashaunta Lanier and identified myself and the purpose of my call. Ms. Lanier informed me that she was about to call the police to report Tavon’s return. Ms. Dollree Mapp and her daughter lived in Cleveland, Ohio. After receiving information that an individual wanted in connection with a recent bombing was hiding in Mapp's house, the Cleveland police knocked on her door and demanded entrance. Mapp called her attorney and subsequently refused to let the police in when they failed to produce a search warrant. After several hours of surveillance and the arrival of more officers, the police again sought entrance to the house. Although Mapp did not allow them to enter, they gained access by forcibly opening at least one door. Once the police were inside the house, Mapp confronted them and demanded to see their warrant. One of the officers held up a piece of paper claiming it was a search warrant. Mapp grabbed the paper but an officer recovered it and handcuffed Mapp ?because she had been belligerent.? Dragging Mapp upstairs, officers proceeded to search not only her room, but also her daughter?s bedroom, the kitchen, dinette, living room, and basement.
I arrived on scene at 17:10 hours. A juvenile was standing under the carport beside a white Dodge Durango. The reporting party, Kaella D. Barners (F/B, DOB: 05/04/1977), exited the front door when she seen deputies arrive. I approached the juvenile, Katera Edwina Barners (F/B, DOB: 08/29/2000). Katera was calm and cooperative. Katera had been upset at her mother. I observed an end table on the hood of the vehicle. I asked Katera if she put it there. Katera said she threw it there in attempt to damage the vehicle.

I observed the officer claim that when he questions the defendant, he felt as if he was off. The victim gives a full detail report to the officer, describing what the person looked like and everything. One of the officers had taken his picture, and sent one to the transit police, to see if it was the same person they were looking for. In the meantime, the woman officer was interrogating him about where he has been and of prescription medication that was discovered in his bag. However, the defendant lied about why his taking the medicine. I observed that the police mentioned the defendant was very yielding and being extremely corporative. The officer mentioned that he took him to the hospital for psych assessment being that he was acting odd, so they kept him because of strange behavior. I observed the officer mention that from there, they got a report that the defendant was the same person they were looking at in the pictures. It was at the hospital that they arrested the defendant.

I wake up in the morning and I can feel the bracelet sliding down my arm as I get up. The bracelet feels warmer than usual, this maybe because my arms are covered with blankets that make it warm during the night. When I wake up in the morning my bracelet has no distinct smell…but when I am getting ready I put perfume on that lingers on to the bracelet throughout the day. So it smells fruity almost like fresh berries that you would smell as you walk through the produce section of the grocery store. But a good smell, fresh and fruity.
As we have reviewed and studied the strategy, culture, finances and the challenges and successes at Wal-Mart, there are many strategies we see that the company must undertake to hold its dominate position and drive further growth. Herein, we define our top four. These core strategies include: rebuild and recreate its reputation in the face of recent challenges; continue to show price leadership; improve the customer experience; and drive international growth.
Walmart is the world’s largest general retailers that operating supermarket, department stores, and grocery stores. I see a strength in it always provides the lower price to its customer every day by its operations. Because of its efficient and effective planning and distribution operations, such as improved logistics system, and introduced new data analysis tools for distribution network efficiency, it can reduce the operating cost to provide customers a lower price.
It opened in 1962 by Sam Walton, Wal-Mart has become the largest retailer in the United States, and with over 3,300 stores Wal-Mart continues to be successful. Under his successor, CEO David Glass, the small discount store chain started in Arkansas has become one of the largest corporations in the world. David Glass lays out the philosophy: “we approach this new and exciting decade of the 90’s much as we did in the 80’s focusing on only two main objectives, (1) providing the customers with what they want, when they want it, all at value, and (2) treating each other as we would hope to be treated, acknowledging our total dependency on our associate-partners to sustain our success.” This statement by Glass shows that Wal-Mart has devised a plan in order to maintain its high ranking in the retail business. The question becomes, can Wal-Mart continue to expand and succeed in an increasingly hostile retail environment? I will discuss the external stakeholders? 2) Do a SWOT analysis of Wal-Mart. What are the company’s distinctive competencies? 3) How would you describe Wal-Mart’s “Grand” strategy for the next decade? In terms of Porter’s generic strategies?
