Super Bowl Sunday was finally here. I was waiting for it all week. As a diehard Patriots fan, I was extremely excited. Our family decided to throw a party and invited over some neighbors to watch the game with us. Some people that came over were Seahawks fans, so the intensity was already building up in the house. Wearing my Tom Brady jersey, I sat in front of the TV screen ready for kickoff.
“Ready for the deflatriots the get destroyed?” said one of my neighbors. I ignored him and was focused on watching the game. The game was going well for New England, but during the 1st quarter, our TV satellite went out, and I quickly became worried.
“Why now?” I thought. “Out of all the times our satellite went out, it happened during the biggest game

I started thinking of the worse and that I was gonna miss the game, but finally we realized that the power in our living room had went out. After restarting the electrical outlet, I raced upstairs to see if the game was back on, but I heard my neighbors getting exciting, so I knew something bad happened.
When I saw what happened, I was surprised. Tom Brady had just thrown a pick in the redzone. What was guaranteed points turned into good field position for the Seahawks. “Brady can only throw deflated footballs!” screamed one of my neighbors, and I started to question why we even invited him, but I was over the whole deflated footballs fiasco, so I didn’t really care.
Just as I finally thought that nothing would stop me from watching the game, I then remembered that I had a report to type for my geography class the next day. There was no way that I was gonna stop watching the game, so I tried

It was a neck and neck game, and it was destined for a fantastic finish. After every big play, I would get a text from my friends saying “Did you see that?”, based off the Patriots past Super Bowl luck, I really did not want it to come down to the last couple of seconds. The Pats had a history of losing to unlucky catches, so it would not have surprised me if it happened again.
Late in the fourth quarter, the Tom Brady and the offense had to deliver in a clutch situation. They were down 21-24. At this point of the game I was standing right in front of the screen, biting my nails. If they scored here they had a chance of winning the game, and after an abysmal third quarter, they had hope. Driving down the field Brady connected with a receiver for a touchdown, and I was extremely thrilled. At this point the defense just had to get one stop, and with how good they were for most of the game I was confident in them. But then the worst possible thing happened.
Russell Wilson and the Seahawks completed the luckiest catch of the game. The receiver was falling to the ground while trying to make the catch, and the ball tipped off his feet and right back into his hands. The catch put them in perfect position to score and win the game. I was distraught, the bad luck had occurred again and could possibly lose them the
Next, more uproar erupted in the 1998 playoffs when an official missed wide receiver Jerry Rice's fumble, which would have ended what turned into the 49ers' game-winning drive against the Packers. Rick Reilly declares:
In the Conference Championship against the Pittsburgh Steelers during the game, Brady went down with an injury, but luckily Bledsoe finished the game out and won. The Patriots were heading into the Super Bowl as huge underdogs expecting to get crushed by the St. Louis Rams in the “Greatest Show on Turf.” Brady got the starting job for the Super Bowl and led the Pats to a seventeen to three lead at the half. The Rams came back in the 2nd half and tied it at seventeen to seventeen with less than two minutes remaining most people thought that the Pats should run the clock out and go to overtime, but instead “Tom Terrific,” and the Patriots drove down the field in spectacular fashion to get into field goal range. Bam! Tom Brady the 199th pick who became the seventh string quarterback was now the youngest QB to win a Super
Today I’m here to talk about how Tom Brady is a cheater. On February 1, 2015 super bowl XLIX was played. The game ended with the New England Patriates defeated the Seattle Seahawks 28-24. The balls used by the Patriates put in Tom Brady’s hands had been deflated prior to the game. The game was played in an over cast and rainy weather forecast. Where deflated balls would be easier to catch/throw.
patriots would come up with strategies or plans that would give them the advantage. For
My family and I are big Giants fans, and one time, we were at a Giants game. At this Giants game, they were losing to the Redskins almost the entire game. At the end, the Giants were losing by six points, with about 5 seconds left to
On the plane ride home and in the airport I was still thinking about the game. The Carolina Panthers had blown out the Buccaneers by 30 points! Cam Newton scored 3 touchdowns himself! I was still excited about the whole game until I fell asleep in the
One of the best Super Bowl games that I have ever seen was Super Bowl forty-nine in 2014, also known as Super Bowl XLIX. The two teams that played in this game were the Seattle Seahawks and the New England Patriots. The game was an intensely fought battle all the way to the end by two juggernauts. The Patriots clinched the game with an
What you do not understand is that the Patriots have gone to eight Super Bowls in the past 20 years, and have won 5 out of the 8. In 2002 “The Greatest Show on Turf” was beaten by the Patriots with an Adam Vinatieri kick with 4 seconds left on the clock to win Super Bowl 36. Another record the Patriots have set is winning two Super Bowls with a game winning kick. The Pats game plan going through the game was hit Marshal Faulk on every single play, which made him exhausted, and not as good as he could have been at the end of the game. The Patriots have the longest winning streak out of any pro football franchise outscoring their opponents with a 2:1 ratio. Then later in Super Bowl 42 the Patriots got unlucky when Eli Manning got away from a sack and threw the ball to David Tyree which would be caught on top of his helmet, and
Following one’s hometown team or childhood NFL team through the regular season, playoffs, and hopefully, the Super Bowl has become a staple of today’s culture. Whether or not their favorite team makes it to the big Super Bowl game, they still find themselves cheering on one of the teams competing. This is even the case for non-football fans.... ... middle of paper ... ...
Here you have the Patriots, which have the greatest quarterback of all time in Brady on the back end of his career. Brady is forced to sit out a few games and this kid Jimmy Garoppolo comes in and absolutely lights it up. It looks like the Patriots may have found their signal caller for the next fifteen years, and they still have their old one playing at an elite level!
The players learned about this travesty at halftime and came back from a 10-point deficit, shutting out the Chicago Bears in honor of Tony Morabito. This travesty had forever altered the course of the
The book that I read in class is called Romeo and Juliet the book was made by William Shakespeare. The character that I picked to talk about is Romeo, since Romeo is young he can be really impulsive when it comes to making a right decision or knowing how to act on a situation. This is what Romeo encounters throughout the story and doesn’t know how to handle the situations he comes across .Romeo’s choices is what leads him to a bad ending in Romeo and Juliet.
It was the last season of my football career and it could not have been going better. We were winning games and were having a blast. The team was giving high fives and banging helmets together. We were a true family; growing closer than any team I had ever been with before. I was standing with my teammates as we said the same prayer before our game as we did every week. “Our Father Who art in heaven, hallowed be thy name.” The deep, strong voices rang throughout the room sending chills down my back. I loved it.
The players ran out to the middle of the stadium. A smell of hatred and resentment came about in the air. The crowd came unglued from their seats. The sounds of various noisemakers filled the air once again. Parents and grandparents alike came to their feet in the stands. Cars stopped on the street in front of the stadium, as they honked their horns, and cheered for their team of choice. As the two burly men stood in the middle of the field, many thoughts ran through their heads. They both knew someone was going to die, but defeat was out of the question. The official tossed a polished silver quarter into the air. The coin hit the wet grass with a shiny face of George Washington clearly showing. The home team will receive the ball. Both anger infested players shook hands and ran back to their sideline. The fans began to cheer as the players t...
“Oh yeah! We’re going to get killed,” she added. “Don’t you think it was wrong for them to schedule our senior night with that game?”
