In the summer of 2008 was my very first time riding Splash Mountain At Disney World and I was scared out of my mind and the anticipation was building up as we flew to Disney World. When we landed we drove to Disney World and we checked into our hotel. I helped my dad bring the luggage up to the room and when we came back down we headed of to the park. “ Are you ready to ride splash mountain?” My mom asked. “ Mom do I really have to I am scared of that ride, you can not make make me ride it if I do not want to?” I said. “ Okay fine you can ride it tomorrow, for now what do you want to ride?” She asked. “ Pirates of the Caribbean.” I answered. So we went to go ride pirates of the caribbean when that was my favorite ride at the time and it still is one of my favorite rides of all time. I also rode other rides such as Dumbo the Flying Elephant and Soarin where it takes you on a virtual hang gliding trip across California and I loved that ride. After all those fun rides my family took a lunch break and we ate at the restaurant in the mexican section of epcot and they have really good mexican food. We then headed back to our hotel where we watched a movie together and so far my trip was a blast but that is when it hit me that I would …show more content…
I wanted to chicken out of the ride and just ride some of the regular rides so i do not have to wait in an hour long line and be stressed the whole time. I was going to walk away but then my mom said she would give me 20 bucks if I rode it. I decided to be brave because that is a lot of money for a kid like me so then we waited in line. An hour later we got to the front of the line and I got into the ride and I was shaking like a leaf. I was scared out of my mind. The whole time through the story of the ride I was to afraid to even listen I could not concentrate my mom and I were about to go up the hill to the drop when the ride suddenly
After walking past those, my family and I walk under the giant globe. It is an enormous structure and walking under it made me feel like an ant. It was white and had the appearance of a giant disco ball. There was a line to go inside the globe too. This was a ride called Spaceship Earth. It felt cold and cramped walking into the globe. When I got on the ride, it brought us back in time. Anyone could choose their own language, so we thought of listening to it in Japanese. This showed cave men, the Romans, the Egyptians, people from the 1800s, and people from now. This ride also showed us what we would do in the future. It was a funny feature, where it showed ourselves flying in hover cars and using other futuristic inventions. That was the end of the ride after that.
There is an immense amount of rides in Walt Disney World. Some of the most famous rides are The Twilight Zone Tower of Terror, Space Mountain, and the Rock 'n' Rollercoaster starring Aerosmith. Also known as The Tower of Terror, this incredibly detailed attraction takes people very high up so they can see out the window for just a second, until it drops them to what seems like their doom. This is done repeatedly, until the ride comes to stop. Another thrilling ride is Space Mountain. On this mostly pitch black journey, riders are pulled into action in ups and downs. Another exhilarating
The sound of music, filling the air with happiness, resonates throughout the area. The scent of delicious buttery popcorn and glazed turkey legs that go on for miles and miles. The feeling of excitement coming into the place is felt in the atmosphere. It is the image of a once in a lifetime moment. When people come in, their imaginations become reality. The name describes itself perfectly. Walt Disney World is the place of dreams and imagination. People come from all around the world to see the rides, characters, food and the entertainment of Walt Disney World. I remember when I went to Disney World this past March. It was the third time I have gone to Disney World. To see the amazement and the expectation of the
The adventure began at the high school where we all met in the afternoon around one o’ clock to board the huge traveling buses that would take us on our journey to Disney world. The ten hour ride was ridiculously long and almost felt never ending, but we finally arrived at our hotel in Orlando at about one in the morning. I remember we all rushed into
So I was looking forward to this ride just to see my grandma like that. The ride itself was more of a sit and see ride. We sat on a boat, and it would move slowly so we could see all of the little figurines from the different cultures move and dance. As the ride went on, the song “It’s a Small World After All” would play, and I would look at my grandma and she would have this happy face and she would be clapping along to the music. I myself enjoyed the ride because it was meant to be a happy ride, and let me tell you, it was certainly was happy. Those rides were really fun to go on, but they didn’t give that intense feeling that I was looking for. Enter Splash mountain, my personal favorite ride from the Magic Kingdom. This reason this was my favorite ride is that when we went on it, we all got soaked. It was kind of funny listening to my family react to getting wet, especially my grandma because she hates getting wet. Plus when we went down the long slide at the end, my heart felt like it went out of my chest. It was an exhilarating ride, and I had a good time on
My palms were sweaty, I was a nervous wreck; should I go or not? Just the thought of people dying at Six Flags gives me the chills. Falling off a ride and slowly coming to your death. Even though I was at Six Flags who would have thought that I would have to make such a tough decision about a ride.
Everything seemed to be going smoothly that morning. Dad loaded the luggage and packed the cooler. He even packed the extra pillows. My family was very happy as we prepared for our trip. I was twelve years old and my brother, Jobie, was ten. My dad had told us for years about his first trip to Disney Land in California when he was a young Marine.
The final thing we decided to do was go to my mom's friend from Turkey, and while we were there we learned about The Kennedy Space Center, so we decided to go there. Going to Florida for spring break was one of the best moments of my life. Once we arrived in Orlando, Fl we stayed at a very big and nice campground. Once we went to check in there was a little booth with pamphlets for Disney World, so we went over there to ask about it.
The line went fairly quickly. We finally sat and I had held onto the bars for dear life. I wanted to get off, but I knew this was something I should do. Then, the instructor started the ride. I shook in fear. The ride started and we started elevating. I closed my eyes for a second and thought, I have to see what I am about to do! I opened them and saw how high I was. I felt like on top of the world for the moment. Slowly we reach up. Higher and higher up, up, up. We got to the top waited for a couple of seconds. All of a sudden, the moment we have been waiting for. The ride dropped I felt like I was falling. We went down so fast I didn’t have a chance to think. That was the part where I appreciated Katarina for motivating me to go on the ride that I now love. The ride after was pretty easy to go through. Just that one drop got
This was the worst drop of all because of how steep it was. It was blazing through the drop which was calamitous for me because of how rapidly the wheels were moving on the roller coaster. After the main parts of the roller coaster, it started to enter “cool down mode.” I was relieved when it started entering “cool down mode” because I did not want to be on that roller coaster for as long as I live. Later in the day, I decided that I would keep going on roller coasters if I wanted to because I would not let my anxieties control me.
Your hands are shaking so much it takes a while for you to get your seat belt off, so you need a little assistance from a worker. When you stand up, it instantly feels like you are about to vomit all of the cotton candy, and candy apples you had eaten early that day. It feels as though the bile has built up in your gut and it is ready to spew through your mouth. When you step out of your seat, your legs are wobbly and feel like Jello making it challenging for you to walk correctly, and everyone notices you having a hard time standing. Your hands are quivering, but you know you just had the ride of your life, so you feel some sense of pleasure. Even though you feel like your life has flashed before your eyes, you are cheerful you rode the ride, but don’t know if you would consider riding it
Then, something happened, something just clicked and I started to enjoy the ride not be scared of it. I started to laugh and stick my hands up and my aunt looked happy as well. We went everywhere. We twisted and turned and looped upside down, it was so much fun! We got off after going for what seemed like nothing it seemed like time had stopped while we were on there then Snap! Just like that we pulled into the station and the seats opened as we slowly got
Suddenly, I was dropped into a void like area, which I couldn’t see a single thing. I thought the roller coaster stopped, but the wind around me and the rustling sounds told me we were moving. After 12 seconds, we entered direct sunlight, and I had to adjust my eyes to the brightness. I looked back, and behind me, my dad looked have awe struck, and half just plainly shocked. My sister said something, but I didn’t listen, I was too focused on the top of the rails and how long it would take.
The second I stepped foot onto the amusement park’s property, I could feel the magic swirling all around me. As I walked through the crowds of people young and old wearing Disney apparel and Mickey Mouse ears, everything seemed so enchanting: the cheerful music, the twinkly lights on all of the buildings, and the stores that could have been from my favorite Disney movies. Walking along the streets, I took pictures of everything around me because I did not want to forget a single detail; I took pictures of the vibrant yellow, red, and pink flowers that lined the streets, the buildings with intricate details and designs, and the massive roller coasters that glided so swiftly on their tracks. The air was filled with heavenly scents of sweet churros, and I had to get one; it was delectable. Everything at Disneyland seemed perfect and like it was out of a movie. Even as I was about to leave, I got drawn back in; spectacular, bright, colorful fireworks started bursting right over my head, and I could not bring myself to go. My first visit to Disneyland was truly enchanting and magical. At the time I thought no other vacation could
When I heard my parents talking about going to Disney World I was so excited. It was a long trip down to Florida and I could not sit still, because I was so excited. We finally arrived that evening and decided to stay in a hotel near the theme park. When it was time for bed I could not go to sleep for a long time, because I was so excited about going at Disney world. When I saw the big mirror ball from the entrance, I was amazed. Disney world had a wide variety of rides. There were tons of rides that shocked me. Some of these rides made you feel like you were riding in a jet because of how fast they were. There was even a roller coaster ride in the huge mirror ball. It was a slow ride, but I still liked it because there was air conditioning inside the ball. We spent all day at the park until we had ridden everything. That night Disney World had a firework show. The fireworks seemed like they lasted forever with the amazing colors bursting in the air one right after another. When the firework show finally ended my parents told me that it was time to leave. I was...
