I remember the day I saw a woman being mugged, I had just gotten out of school and was on my way back home. The sky was covered in dark clouds making it look like it was going to start pouring pretty soon and therefore I quickened my pace not wanting to get soaked. I was watching the cars pass me one by one disappear into the distance. I kept looking up at the sky I had never seen menacing the clouds looked before it started to rain, they were calming in a way. I put on my headphones and lost myself in the music. I was about to change the song when some lady just bumped right passed me she didn’t even look back or even say sorry. Before I could even try to change the song I heard other footsteps these two big muscular guys were running and …show more content…
I was so close to home when I heard a voice scream for help it sounded like a woman’s voice. She just kept on screaming I got closer to the alley where the screams were coming from. The screams were coming from the lady that bumped me and the two muscular guy were mugging her. I decided to call 911 and told them what was going on they said that they wouldn’t be able to get there until ten minutes do to the rain. The two men would long by the time they got here. The rain was starting to get heavier, I knew I had to do something. I went over to them and told them to stop but they didn’t even pay attention. I remembered I had an umbrella in my bag and I got it out. I was terrified but I swung my umbrella and hit him on the head. He started bleeding, turned around, and grabbed me. I kept on hitting him with the umbrella but he grabbed it and threw it. I was kicking and punching just trying to get him off of me. He slipped because of how wet the street was I got up and tried to help the lady. I started to hit the other guy she was so close to getting away but then everything went black. Apparently I was unconscious the other guy hit me on the head with some metal pipe lying around the
I. Intro. - Imagine you are sitting home one night with nothing to do. Your parents have gone away for the weekend and there is absolutely no one around. So you sit around that night watching TV for awhile but find nothing on worth watching. You go on upstairs to your room and get ready for bed. Turn off the lights, lay down, and close your eyes. All of a sudden you here a crash of glass in your kitchen. You rush to your feet and put your ear to the door listening to what’s going on downstairs. You begin to hear the voice of two men as they start going through the living room, making their way to the stairs, right outside your room. What do you do? You aren’t going to confront them since its just you—remember you thought you heard two of them right? Well you are really stuck in your room and all you can do is sit there hoping that they leave soon and don’t harm you. Now if it were at my house things would be a little bit different. For starters I would get out my shotgun from my closet and begin to see what is gin on down stairs.
sat down to rest and then heard sirens in the distance. We saw a blue and white
a fight a few blocks away. When I ran to the scene, the fight was over. However,
It was around nine o’clock when I pulled into the driveway. It was pitch black outside so I brought a flashlight with me. Now I’m a paranoid person, so I also brought my machete with me. My grandparents lived right in front of a dense forest, so you never know what could come out of there.
The sweat was dripping down my face as I pushed the weights off my chest. Everyone ran towards their bags after a student said there was a gun in school. Twitter was the first source that we checked just to make sure. Boom! The door slammed open as coach Ben yells “Hurry up and get out”. My heart started beating faster and faster. We didn’t know what was going on. As we were running to the gym everyone was panicking and pushing each other. I could feel the burn on my elbow but I didn’t know what it was. When we got to the gym my elbow was covered in blood. We were told to get down and stay quiet. Later on we were told a student brought a gun to school and was planning on committing suicide. That was one of many gun incidents at my high school.

the rain was pelting down on my head. My car had just broken down in
I drifted my eyes away from the hill for a short moment until I heard the sound of multiple gunshots in my left ear. My head whipped to face the direction of the sound. It came from the hill. I could not get myself to move but my friends were yellings and ducking. When I finally broke myself free of shock i chose flight, not fight.
I stood there just staring I could not move. Every time I moved o\n took a breath I felt him getting closer. Quickly, I had to do something but I did not know what. I feel like he has a gun or a weapon but I do not know for sure. I was 5’4 and 87lbs., and this guy had to be at least 6’9 and 250lbs.. There was no way that I would win in a fistfight so I just had to sit there and hope he would not see me hiding. I decided to run, I got shot in the leg.
to be different and dressed in such a way as to be distinct from everyone else at the wedding. When you see a wedding you do not have any trouble identifying the bride even if you cannot tell who the bridegroom is. Almost all brides look different in their bridal outfit because bridal outfits are transformational as far as appearances are concerned. The same thing applies to salvation; it changes people so completely they are hardly recognized.
It was about 11pm, and I was walking home from the gym, and for some reason I decided to the Other Route.
My story started about a week ago. I was heading to bed early, because I was tired from a long day with plans to wake up a few hours before class to review for a test. As I closed my books for the evening and headed to bed around midnight, little did I know something was going on outside.
Stop the Cop Is it acceptable that our town’s tax money goes towards gas for a cop and his cars leisure? There are many unacceptable reasons that can be brought up but, the most important are that the car is drove anywhere and everywhere even off duty, by allowing this to happen a very important contract is broken, and it takes an intolerable amount of time to get to our town in an emergency. Many residents including myself are very displeased by the problem and the misuse of their tax money. “There are many other things that we can spend our tax money on”, says a lifelong resident.
I can clearly remember being in the car on a humid day with a little overcast. We were driving in the car when all of a sudden the wind started to pick up and it started raining a bit. Within five minutes, the weather progressed and there was so much wind blowing around the car that we could no longer hear the radio. I can remember when I saw a stop sign spinning in circles like a “merry-go-round'; with electrical problems. I do not remember how my mother got us home so quickly and where we were because all around us was a thick gray fog. However, all I can recall from that point on was sitting with my head in my lap in the back seat of the car. I never witnessed the true power of nature until this incident.
Have you ever felt uncomfortable to live in your own home? Out of my thirty two years of living, I have encountered a few terrifying experiences. However, of those incidents none could compare with the experience of our home being burglarized. I was undecided moving into this house because it was a decent but known to be a dangerous area. With my options being few, I decided to sign a year lease. Only one more month before my lease was over, that’s when the unthinkable happened.
