Just because the sun is bright and shining in the summer does not mean that people are at their happiest moment. It is a regular hot summer’s day where you wake up to a hot apartment due to a broken A/C. The sun is not even completely out and you are already sweating, starting your day with the wrong foot. You lose time trying to see what is going on with your air conditioning system. As if your luck could not get any worse, your car’s A/C is broken as well. So, by now, you are late for work and completely sweaty, but finally on your way. While driving to work you take the route you take every morning and to your surprise one of the roads is closed due to an accident that happened earlier. A police officer that is controlling traffic approaches your car and asks you to please back your car and take another road. At this time you explode and you snap at the police officer. Why this aggression? It could be by the series of unfortunate events you just experienced, or maybe something else could be influencing your behavior. Time should be given to communicate effectively. Everyone has a bad day. This may be caused by illness or tiredness, people react out of character and sometimes communication breaks down because comments are made and misinterpreted. We should always take the time to consider others feelings. Laughter and good humour can relieve tensions and add to relationship building but must only be used at appropriate times. When I was younger my parents would read me fairy tales about the Disney princesses and how the man would rescue the woman, they would fall in love and live happily ever after. Obviously as I child I would think of love that way. I though you would meet a strong handsome man he would save you whenever you were in trouble, you fall in love marry, and live happily ever after. When I was in second and third grade the Cheetah girls movie came out and they were very popular. They had this song called Cinderella and the lyrics said “that fairy tale life wasn’t for me…I don’t want to be like Cinderella waiting for a guy to rescue me I rather rescue myself.” I remember singing that song when I was eight and nine and as I grew older I started to see
The first activity I did that was outside of my comfort zone was go to the weight room at the rec and lift weights. I have always wanted to start lifting weights again, but I was nervous about going to the weight room here. I have a smaller build, and I am not the strongest person so I didn’t want to embarrass myself. It was outside my box because I was worried other people lifting would judge me because I am not in the best shape. At first, when I went in the weight room I was intimidated because there were a lot of people, and most of them were in great shape. However, once I started lifting I realized that it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be.

Whether that be because a coworker has been a complete crap to you all day, or your kid didn’t listen to you and ended up getting hurt for the thousandth time in a row, to getting ultimately stressed and frustrated because your teachers didn’t enter in grades and denies any proof of that occurring, we’ve all been there. When I’ve seen others get angry, they become confrontational or even start yelling, some people that I know of even throw things either at the people that they are angry at, or at other areas, such as walls. There are four different types of angry people: the avoiders, who avoid the situation completely and ignore their anger, bottling it up; the destroyers, who throw things out of anger in order to relieve it; the screamers, who scream, yell or even just become straightforward and rude either towards the person that they are angry towards; the avengers, who come up with plans to get back at the person who angered them, though most times those people don’t actually go through with their villainy plots. The ‘trigger’s, or the things that set people off to become angry, vary from person to person. In my experience, most triggers come from when someone does something that truly peeves them, which could be anything from loud noises to the mood that the other person has towards

As a child, have you ever felt a sense of isolation or alienation? At some point in our lives, we may feel as though we don't belong or that we are alone. There has been a time at one point or another where everyone has felt this way. This sense of isolation can lead to constant fear for one's own safety as well as feeling unwanted. As a child, I would soon know the feeling of alienation, and the potential danger that it would bring.

Summer vacation, and school ends for about three months, and then you have as much fun as you can, then back to school… right? Well I had to go to summer school, but it wasn’t as bad as I thought it would be. Everything was going fine, I had a job after summer school, and that was going fine as well. They say that summer is supposed to be fun and exciting, and it usually is for me and my family. However in July my father started coughing up blood. My father usually doesn’t make it his top priority to go to the doctors, so he waited about four weeks until he really didn’t feel good.
I have many strengths and weaknesses. My strongest academic skills are most likely my organizational skills. I am a very organized person. I have numerous amounts of organizational products such as planners, binders, and dividers. I have greatly benefited by these products, especially when I attended public school, they really helped me stay on task with what work needed to be turned into to each class. Planners are the product I have utilized the most. When I attended public school we had an A/B schedule. Planners played a key part in helping me remember when test and other things would be coming up in my classes. Another strength of mine would be my career decidedness.
