Family, I thought it would be a great idea to go to North Carolina. I have always wanted to go to North Carolina. It would be amazing because our family would come to visit us, we could go to the beach, and get food. I chose North Carolina because it is a place were not really used to and it’s very warm down there. First reason, our family would come too, or just visit if they don’t come. Our cousins wouldn’t have any problems because they have cousins and family that live there too. We could have big feasts or bonfires and make burgers. Everyone in my family likes bonfires a lot so that would be fun with some corn hole while you’re eating my dad’s homemade hot dogs and burgers. Speaking of food, we could catch trout, catfish, or maybe
My heart beat rapidly as the familiar sound of the ringing cell phone hummed into my ear. The vibrant voice of my guidance counselor answered, “Sue Walker, how may I help you?” After gathering my racing thoughts into words, I managed to respond, “Hi, Mrs. Walker, I heard acceptance decisions from the NC Governor’s School were emailed to counselors today.” She confirmed that decisions were available, but would only be delivered in person.
Personally, I would have enjoyed the recreational side of the Coney Island. The beach and other recreational areas such as seasonal feasts and festivals. The reason behind my love for these areas is that it would help me to unwind and relax after a long day’s work or a week of many
We started our travels down in Columbus Ohio. The week leading up to the big move we spent at Deer Creek State park, for a family reunion, where my dad and step mom, had the chance to see everyone again, before the journey began. Over all we had taken nine days to get to our destination. First stop, Saint Louis, Missouri, we stopped to see the Gateway Arch. It was a lot bigger than I thought it would be, so of course I was pretty amazed. The first few days were our longest driving days, but sense we broke up the days, our longest day was eight hours. The second day was the worst, Oklahoma is so boring to drive through, and nothing but flat crop farms, and wind turbines everywhere you look. We drove till we got about seventy five miles from the boarder of New Mexico, And Oklahoma. We got up early and began a shorter dive to Albuquerque, New Mexico, where we went to Petroglyph National Monument, yeah it was interesting, but after you see a few hundred, they all start to look the same. The next morning we took a beautiful hike and took many pictures to capture the moment. Other than getting there, my favorite part of the trip, was Arizona, where we stayed four days in Flagstaff, one day in Holbrook, and one day in Phoenix. I wouldn’t mind if I lived in Arizona, it’s a very beautiful state. My family and I stopped by the Petrified Forest National Park, and I
The first thing I heard was Virginia Beach vacation, and then in excitement I ran and got my stuff and started to pack. The part I was most excited about was that the hotel is a beachfront hotel room.I was so excited because I love the beach and I really wanted to go back to the beachfront hotel and stay there. I went there when I was in second grade. I have gotten to go there a few times since second grade, but I did not get to stay there overnight.
Oklahoma. Not only did I get to hear about the places I wanted to go visit, but now I
Florida has lots to offer. Florida is also known as the sunshine state. One place i would like to visit would be Florida because you can go to Disney World, walk through paths to see alligators, and visit the University of Florida to see their football and softball programs.
If I were able to travel to anywhere in this world without worrying about expenses, I would travel to New Orleans; a Louisiana city that is located on the Mississippi River and is in close proximity to the Gulf of Mexico. New Orleans has a number of things to provide as to why I would travel there, but I only picked my main three that I mostly want to do. The first reason is for the unique and diverse culture New Orleans has to offer. The other two reasons are for the history and to witness the creepy side of New Orleans that it is most famous and known for.
opportunity to create my own world. One day, my parents told me that we were going to move to the
“Arkansas? You're really taking me to Arkansas for my thirteenth birthday?” I remembered asking that question just a few days ago, as I walked from the chilling cold air, into the warm and welcoming country hotel. My mom was dealing with the suitcases at the counter, so my little sister, my dad, and I went into the elevator and up to our floor without her. When my mom finally came up to our floor, the 3rd floor, there were several men in her elevator, all in suits.
The place where I would like to call me second home is located all the way down in Savanna Georgia. I can remember way back about nine years ago in the summer of 2008. The plane ride was a long and hot, and I spent the whole ride playing on my PSP. When I got off the plane I remembered walking through the freezing cold Savanna International Airport seeing all the flags of different countries hanging from the ceiling, but then taking one step out of the airport front doors looking for the car services that was rented and feeling the crushing 100°F heat and deathly humidity. But it is all worth the painful heat to spend time in the beautiful city.
Where to go on vacation is a popular conundrum in many households every year. People enjoy going out of town to relieve stress and get away from work for a short time. The beach and the city are both great places to vacation. They are both open anytime of the year. It depends on what you want to accomplish where you should decide to go. I hope the next few paragraphs help you make that tough decision easier.
My favorite family vacation happened when we went to Disney. I spent a lot of time with my family and friends. I also went to Harry Potter World. My favorite pictures I got there were my ones with Peter Pan, and the conductor
Instead of going to a boring museum in Washington, I could go to numerous theme parks and meet fun and interesting people. Also I am a big Harry Potter fan so a trip to Universal Studios would be exhilarating. It would feel like i am actually at Hogwarts. I also love roller coasters and every park has some of the greatest roller coasters in the country. Expedition Everest is one of the highest roller coasters in the world and the Rockin Roller Coaster is one of the fastest. Both of these are in Orlando and I will be riding them as many chances as I get. Going to Washington D.C. would also be a great vacation because of the many historical sights and museums.
In 2014 I took a trip to the Rivera Maya, Mexico over spring break. We had been planing all winter to take the trip and it was actually happening. It was the second time I had been to Mexico and I was so excited to get out of the snow and cold weather we were experiencing in Iowa. Iowa winters are very cold and there's lots of snow, so I was looking forward to the nice weather. This is my one week trip to Mexico where I got to do so many new things.
I was able to spend a lot of time with my family, our friends, and play all sorts of games. This experience made me start to like traveling. Every time I would get the chance to travel, I will take that chance. We were able to go to a theme park, eat many delicious foods, and play many video
